Joe Biden is now POTUS

This is a huge discussion that needs to be had. I believe this was worse than 2016 and that percentage is steadily decreasing.

Plus, when you have women like Keisha Lance Bottoms and Stacy Abraham’s doing the work they are doing, this makes me concerned on the direction black men are going politically.

It’s the 40 and under black men too that’s being highly influenced my social media personalities. It’s spreading fast.
I'm torn on this. I think the turnout numbers are way more important than the actual % split. Even if it ends up being 18-20% what other male demographic is 80%+ "progressive" ?

Shit is crazy but to be fair, you are asking a lot for people to be excited about a former prosecutor and wench. :smh: I don't think Obama would have won had Michelle been "Amy". That said, Abrams et al. can't do it with just women actually showing up to vote and organizing. We have to do a better job. I hope that the GA result inspires more of Us to show up.

I feel largely the same, 20 percent isn't anywhere near the majority, but that's still some significant coonery. It is indeed pretty damn disappointing to me.

This isn't the militant dumbasses out here saying they aren't going to vote...these are brothas apparently that actually felt that it was best to actually cast a damn vote for that buffoon smh.
Brother, please stop repeating this unfounded rhetoric. When the "20%" comment came out, it was one day after the election. Stratified data was not and is still not available. These claims are not based upon actual ballots casted.

It is possible that this number is from exit polls, which we know is subject to gross error. Nonetheless, stating that 20% of black men voted for Trump is a lie.

Ask yourself, why isn't any other data available? So, no other demographic is reported yet? Just black people??

Cmon y'all. We got to do better.

Fam, I’m torn too.

I explained to a friend of mine that didn’t vote, I am aware about the political history of Biden and Harris.

That’s why these two are placeholders in my book because getting Trump out was way more important than what Biden and Harris done in their past.

So I get where folks are coming from, but I’m just more so bewildered at folks not see Trump as the tyrant he is...not just for us, but for the country.

1 day after? You may be right. I'm interested in the data after all the votes are counted. I really hope we did better than those one day numbers...which considering the mail-ins were after the first day, You are probably right that these numbers are probably way off.

I’m happy for Joe...

But in the spirit of laughter, anybody can get it!

Me too. We need to figure out what’s happening here and see why. 20% for Trump is very disgusting.
To be honest I think alot of it stems from not knowing their true history and trying assimilate the white man. I see alot of these dudes screaming for Trump and then you ask them, have you ever heard of Dr. John Henry Clarke, or Stokely, or every read books from Ivan Van Sertima.
The number #1 book in most prisons is -
From The Browder File: 22 Essays on the African American Experience

Why?? Cats don't know their history and when they learn it changes their perspective on life.

I will say this repeatedly, we need more brothers mentoring. If you don't have a male figure to look up to you can easily get lost out here.

I know it's a lack of not knowing your own history, when you got young kids out here saying, and I have heard from many say how people like X and of course Barack and etc. are their black heroes. The X one blew me off my mind most recently when doing a zoom session with some youngins in high school...I was like yeah your mom or parents schooling you well...
