Joe Biden is now POTUS

Biden is not perfect but he has more presidential character that what we had the last 4 years. My concern is that idiot racist Mich McConnell and his man wife Lindsey Graham. If they can play fair we may be able to see some good change. Just like I was happy when Tiger Woods started he quest to be one of the greatest golfers ever, Barack Obama's election as president and now Kamala Harris as first female Vice President and Vice President as color. I feel a sense of pride, I hope she does good things.

It sounds to me that you underestimated racism and I simply did not.
I operate under the starting point that the majority of these motherfuckers is racist.
When the shit starts rolling in and they start benefiting from a great economy they're not racist enough to not want their money and health care and everything else they'll benefit from.

What did you think was going to happen in this election? I don't really understand what you're saying with your third sentence and it reads to me like a contradiction of the first.

Because Trump letting 1,000 people a day die on his watch while embracing herd immunity and speculating about the benefits of drinking bleach, on top of his already historically terrible record, was not enough to override racism, if that indeed was the driving motivator for the increased 2020 Trump turnout. It wasn't a great economy, he still didn't have a health care plan and the masses of people aren't benefitting from his presidency.

Exactly!!! They can commit to LGBTQ action before the election. But, regarding the black community, it's a plan with no date, no timeline, and no commitment. Yet, people mad at Cube??

Bizzaro world.

He just killed his own case with “Bad things happened which our observers where not able to see”

So you admit no one saw anything:smh:

He's full of shit, and he knows it. There was an entire LIVE STREAM of the Philly ballot counting. You could see the observers the entire time. His goofy ass thought his son and Giuliani should've been allowed in too.... That's not how this shit works. ONLY certified poll watchers are allowed to watch the polls. This is all fodder for his crazy base

His lawyers had to admit in open court that his poll watchers were there

Fuck if I know boy I don't get alerts on hoe ass niggas lol

What kind of dumb ass question is that
And ladies and gentlemen, here is another example of MFs making up shit to try and prove their point. Then, when they are challenged, they get quiet and play dumb.....or are they not playing at all?
:puzzled:

Here is the crazy part, I stated a fact......

gathering in large crowds at this time is irresponsible.

It doesn't matter that Biden won. Yes, let's celebrate. But, we can not lose sight of the fact that there is a pandemic going by on where we have had record numbers of new infections for the past couple of days.

This is not a political or partisan issue. This is science.

Because we still had major voter suppression.

For example, in Florida, Desantis, despite it going into law, was able to effectively remove 1M people from the voter rolls (predominately dem voters) when he disenfranchised voters and made ex-cons have to poll tax to vote. That's 1 example and enough to flip Florida.

I agree with you about the importance of disenfranchisement. Hopefully we can address that years down the line (though it sadly won't happen with this congress).

But that response feels like when people start talking about the injustice of the electoral college vs the popular vote. Of course you're right but we knew that was the landscape going in.

In this hyper-partisan environment, beating an incumbent like this is a beatdown. Trump got a beatdown even though it was close in a few swing states. Biden is gonna end up with 100 more EC votes and 6-7M more total votes. Was never going to be much larger than that in this type of partisan environment against an incumbent

I think this part gets to what I may be failing to communicate. The Michael Moore theory I was talking about, which I agreed with, underestimated the hyper-partisanship of this environment. "Of course we live in hyper-partisan times," many would instantly think in response. But I didn't extend that to non-voters-- literal nonpartisans in many cases-- in the same way as voters. The theory was that if everyone who could vote voted, Democrats would win in a landslide. Of course voter suppression and disenfranchisement would make that even more resounding. But the inactive eligible voting population seems not to be what we-- and I think most people, including many of the voter suppressors-- thought it was.

Well alrighty then

Trump is raising money from his mailing list. In the fine print, he's saying half the money will be used to pay down his campaign debt. He's got to at least pretend he's "fighting". This shit is his final grift. He's gonna squeeze all the juice out of these lemons while he's POTUS.
=going into his pockets.
