Undecided Black women in Atlanta unenthusiastic about candidates

People kill me talking about the candidates don't excite them. What do you want, your asshole tickled? Fuck that! Grow up, pick a candidate, and vote!
Man most of them mutherfuckers don't care, nor are they looking for policies. They just want "excitement" whatever the fuck that means. Then they want to be social media activist that don't know shit.

They mentioned:
  • The Crime Bill
  • Wanting an ironclad plan from Biden
  • Kamala being a nonfactor, not being swayed by "#blackgirlmagic", and she never righted her wrong
All are legit concerns. But, just "go out and vote", huh? :smh:
What about the crime bill?
Did they even read either candidates plan?
What exactly do they want her to do?

Now what's their concerns with Trump?

It's their experience that their lives are the same no matter who wins. Folks will try to tell them otherwise, but it don't change shit.

Undecided Black women in Atlanta unenthusiastic about candidates

Chris Jansing interviews a panel of three undecided Black women in Atlanta, Georgia. The voters expressed their frustrations that the Biden campaign is taking Black voters for granted.

Exactly what I figured :smh: :smh:

Pennsylvania's counties have starkly different plans for when they will begin processing their pre-Election Day ballots, with Democratic strongholds moving to get them counted as quickly as possible while other areas plan to tally in-person votes first.
Unlike most states, Pennsylvania law does not allow officials to start processing early ballots until 7 a.m. on Election Day. Philadelphia and other areas plan to start work on their mail-in votes at 7 a.m. sharp, officials said, but swing counties like Erie and red ones like Cumberland are intending to wait until after the polls close or even until the next morning to begin.

With more Democrats planning to vote by mail and more Republicans intend to show up to the polls on Election Day, decisions to tally the in-person votes first could give President Donald Trump -- who has repeatedly called for the race to be called on election night -- an illusory early advantage.
Most states allow advance processing for early ballots, but two key states, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, do not allow that until Election Day, leading to the potential for counting delays that stretch beyond November 3.

A Pennsylvania election official told CNN that counties are "strongly encouraged" to begin their work on the absentee ballots at 7 a.m. But even if they don't, the official said the public would still have a good idea of what mail-in ballots are still outstanding at the time polls close and the party affiliation of those ballots. Counties can begin reporting the results at 8 p.m. after the polls close.
Each county has a different plan for how to process mail-in ballots, which are expected to hit record numbers as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
That includes Erie County, which swung toward Trump in 2016 and plans to begin counting in-person votes when the polls close at 8 p.m., followed by tabulating absentee ballots around 11 p.m., according to Carl Anderson III, the chair of the Erie Board of Elections.

Erie is planning to stop counting ballots around 2 a.m. on November 4 and restart later that morning.
Anderson said there's a concern if the mail-in ballots are reported first, the results "out of the gate could look pretty skewed," because those votes were expected to be heavily Democratic, based on ballots requested, and the county was trying to mitigate that effect.

Republican-run Cumberland County, which is outside Harrisburg, plans to report results from the polls only beginning at 8 p.m., and will not begin counting mail-in ballots until the following morning, according to Samantha Krepps, a spokeswoman for the county.
"On Election Day we will report the poll numbers, but we have three days to start the canvassing of the mail-in ballot. So, we took the opportunity to focus our attention on the election at the polls and then we will switch gears the next day," Krepps told CNN. "It's just a matter of getting the job done and we are focusing our attention on the polls because they are the most important thing on Election Day."

Luzerne County manager David Pedri said the county, near Scranton, expects to tally all in-person ballots on November 3 but will likely only have some mail-in ballots counted that day.
In Philadelphia, however, mail-in votes will start being processed at 7 a.m., according to city commissioner Lisa Deeley.
"Everything will start getting counted," Deeley said. "Results will start to go out after the polls close."

Becky Bartlett, Northampton County's deputy director of administration and public information officer, said early vote ballots will go through a scanner starting at 7 a.m., and the results will get tabulated after the polls closed, though it may take a couple of hours before they are reported. The county, outside Allentown, was hopeful they would finish their count that night, she said.
And in Bucks County, north of Philadelphia, Commissioner Bob Harvie said the county is crafting a plan to begin processing mail-in ballots at 7 a.m., too. Harvie said that the county was trying to figure out "the most efficient way to get to the point where we can open a lot, scan," expecting results would begin to be reported around 10 p.m. ET.
Here are other key developments in voting as we near Election Day.

I mean let's look at this...

"executive order for reparations" -- Come on

"strategically" not participated in early voting ..... ????? How in the fuck would any of that work? This would just give repubs more ammunition to vote against us... while weakening the black vote that's needed in states to elect Black representatives that could address local black issues...

It's like Black people have no idea how politics even works ....

An irrelevant ad hominem attack. Address the issues that they've raised!! Black people WANT SOMETHING for our vote! Why is this such a difficult concept to understand?

We know how they feel about biden whats ADOS position on trump?

Whats ADOS' agenda now that SCOTUS is right/conservative-dominated?
How will ADOS get its agenda thru if trump wins a 2nd term (please be specific e.g. how will you get laws with positive effects that are only for black people?)
Does ADOS agenda people think trump and the rest of the Republicans will come thru with tangibles like reparations in the next 4 years?

These folks are just as foolish as Trump supporters who will cut off their nose to spite their face. :smh:
All they want to do is hope dems lose so that they can say dumb shot like see..they "didn't listen to black people, etc.... but the republicans have listen to you and will not listen to you going forward.
We've seen and continue to see what republicans do when they get what they perceive as a mandate to do what the fuck they want to do and it been advantage black people.

  • What was the Democratic agenda for Black ADOS America when SCOTUS was less right-wing/conservative dominated, Obama was in office, and he even had a brief majority Democratic Congress?
  • What would the Democratic agenda be for Black ADOS America if Biden/Harris wins?
  • How will you get that agenda through Biden/Harris?

I voted, but at the end of the day, I know it's not going to really benefit us who sits on the throne.

Yet...
Roland Martin and the rest of these Idiots aren't throwing these women under a political bus as they are Black Men.

That's what is fucking alarming. We've had fucking decades of do-nothing black representation. @woodchuck brought up local, and I agree local is important, but locally Cleveland has had black mayors for most of my life and black councilpeople and the place is a disaster.

If we haven't learned that policy is much, much, much more important than fucking tokens who look like us, we've already lost. I don't give a fuck if the politician who really changes everything is a gay, Asian, transgender scientologist who is married to a red-headed wiccan. Just show me the fucking policies. Enough with the bullshit tokens. :smh:

And after this fucking failure that is Biden, can we please stop with the rehashing of super villain career politicians who have done more harm than good? I know we have to settle, but I can see why folks don't like Biden.

BGOL should come up with a political checklist for the black community. I think we agree on ending the prison industrial complex, police reform and a few other things. We can make a thread of the top 5 things and check them off when they are done by Biden/Harris. No pulling out fine print lists in 4 years with minor bullshit. Check shit off in real time. It either happens or it don't.

Dudes on this board be like:

"Its important to vote. But,, only if you vote for my guy. It doesnt matter if you like my candidate or not. Just vote for him. Yeah, so what your life has not been affected by the current guy. Get him out and vote for my guy because its gonna be better. I dont know how, but its gonna be better. Gosh!"

Ok what has been the voter turnout percentage in Cleveland?
How many people show up to town hall meeting?
How many people show up to school board meeting?
How many people are actively involved in pushing elected officials do what they want?
Shit..how many people even know what they want.
Voting is the beginning phase and not the end phase. This has been the problem. The base is going to come out and vote and be happen with whatever. If you are not happy with whatever, then why wait until election time to begin your grievance? Your grievance should have started from the time elected officials are elected and if they haven't given you any results by the time registration for elections begins. Then back someone else and get rid of the people who failed to show any results.
This shit aint hard but people make it hard by simply bitching and complaining but don't do shit but sit on their hands and blame everybody else. Take control of your home, neighborhood, city, etc....

"FORCED an executive order for reparations" from who, Trump??? Neither candidate would do some shit like that. Not voting wouldn't change that.

If Biden is elected, that list should be made a permanent sticky on the board for the next four years!

Agreed. I'm usually impressed by the people on this board but right around election time the true face of these immature, emotional children rears its frightened head and most of these fools turn into Chicken Little. I say the same thing each time. "If you really believe the president is going to change your life, meet me here in a year and let's talk about all the ways your life has been uplifted after the election". No one ever responds though.

Listen. I agree with you. Voters need to be more active in between elections. Need to fire politicians without hesitation. But remember we have a good number of people pushing for tokens. They are pushing the narrative that somehow tokens take care of everything without the voters having to hold them accountable.

Shit. If voters just elect leaders with sound policy, there isn't much that needs to be done. Voters can't even be bothered to do that. :smh:

Sadly, we got too many Bidens in politics. Politicians who are responsible for terrible policies, yet they keep getting promoted. That's the fault of the voters. American voters got us in this situation with Trump and Biden.

Why don't people get this?? Electing the nicer cracka ain't gonna change that.
I asked you a question the other day.
I said slave holders were racist and many abolitionist were racist as well.
Yet if you had to choose between the two, who would you choose to work with and which one do you believe you can get things done with?
