Agreed - his dad had major respect in their region helping coach & mentor youth. I'm sure Khabib would have similar success, especially with all of his MMA accolades over the years.

You say "that was young GSP," as if we're not now talking about an old GSP. You think GSP's better off now at 39 vs prime Khabib? No. Plus, what happened to "young GSP" the very next fight after he avenged his loss to Hughes?
It is recency bias... Khabib has been dominant over lesser competition than GSP, Silva, and Jones. Jones won his title from the champ, beat six ex-UFC champs (finishing five of them within a one year span), and defended 14x. Khabib won a vacant title vs a real estate agent, only beat one ex-UFC champ (McGregor), and only defended his title 3x. Yes, his 3x title defenses was a dominant run vs top tier competition, but it's still onll 3x vs Jones doing the same for over a decade. Plus, we've yet to see how Jones fares at HW. Khabib never ever hinted at moving up, despite having weight cut issues multiple times.
He’s not even close to the goat, Mighty Mouse, Jon jones, Anderson Silva, gsp, Jose Aldo, hell Tito Ortiz has more defenses and so does tyron Woodly, khabib never faced a guy with good wrestling and he’s massive for lightweight. He’s been a treat to watch and his skill is undeniable but he’s quitting way too soon after an injury and bad circumstance filled career. No way is he a goat.

lol I knew you were going to say that... this is the part where I say "Now, show me a gif of Khabib taking Ls like those GSP had to avenge." Prime Khabib > prime GSP. We already know how good Khabib is based on beating everyone put in front of him. We can't offset his dominance with hypothetical bouts against a fighter who got pummeled by the fighter Khabib just choked out. Khabib beat everyone in front of him, Ferguson got finished twice while taking four Ls.This is what happened during the rematch...
