I’ve stated my position many times. Stop looking to a politician to be a savior but at the same time, don’t throw away your vote because someone is trying to guilt or shame you into doing it, especially for a politician that hates you.
the short answer suggestion - focus on you and your household first to make sure you and yours are empowered economically and socially.

They are slowly turning the Republican party into a race party, whites are not longer voting based on their ideology like they did before MLK showed up and caused all that trouble. They will internally decide through this single party structure whether they will pursue a left or right wing policy decision. The structure of Obamacare came from a Republican governor in a lefty state.
One of the things they are doing is gutting unions to deprive this 'colored' political party of financial resources. If they do raise money, it is coming from corporate donations that whites dominate and can control these candidates. Right around the Voting Rights Act, Union tanked as a result of this supposed gain.

We’ve allowed Democrats to push us from 2nd class to 4th class citizens in a matter of 50 years because we have kept giving our support with little to nothing in return. This is the best opportunity in my lifetime I’ve seen to hold the vote in key positions that will make them recognize the days of blind loyalty are over. If they say to hell with us (which they’ve done privately since 1964) then we have the voting block to start our own party and run our own candidates.

They need our influence but not our vote, at the state and federal level anyway. They also use us as a scapegoat when they lose which is something the Republicans don’t. Why is that when we vote for them 90%+ religiously? We are never the problem when they lose.
