{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

So right before I left the range today, I asked to see the Staccato 2011 pistol they have since I had heard so much hype about them. Needless to say, when I felt the trigger was and how short the reset was, I was there like

I can't wait to get my hands on mine. My RMR beat the gun here. I still am waiting on my weapon light to be delivered, I opted for another TLR1 HL. After some thought, I'm thinking of running a x300u instead. :dunno:

Do you do competition shooting? That Staccato is definitely built for that

When cleaning your pistol barrels do y'all use a foaming bore cleaner followed up after a few minutes with a bore snake or do y'all use a cleaning patch soaked with solvent and pushing it through the barrel and then let it sit? I found this video that talks about both & I'm thinking of going with a bore snake/foaming cleaner combo

This is not an optical illusion. There are shotgun magazines that big and they hold 19 in them. One of my brethren had 1 at the range for his Radical Arms shotgun. It's definitely one of those WTF is that head turners

I use a bore snakes for quick cleaning. After shooting at the range, I'll run a bore snake through it to get rid of the powder and copper right there. But, for thorough cleanings, I'll use a bore-guide (for rifles) a Dewey cleaning rod, and a Parker-Hale jag. I don't use brass brushes at all, I use nylon brushes.

Some solvents can be hard on your barrels, so I don't use anything too strong. If you clean your weapons on the regular, you won't have to use harsh solvents.

Projectile over penetration, disorientation from concussion and muzzle flash...
I'm not trying to change anyone's prospective, as with anything in life YMMV.
** Edit- None of this is proven, they are just my thoughts based on limited experiences and theory.

I have a question for you. Have you set up (or are you able to set up) a range at the compound?

This. I was reading down and was looking at the replies. If you in Cqc/Cqb with a loud 7.62 you will over penetrate and lose some of your spatial orientation from the noise and chaos. Not to mention the flash for your eyes. If you’re alone then you’ll probably have the other mfs running for their lives too lol. Back when we had the M60 (before changing to 240b) we almost never took it inside a built up area. Was always 249 or if need a rifleman with a assload of ammo but that was still 5.56, what we called the Automatic Rifleman. 7.62 was almost exclusively left outside for security but you better announce when you coming out cause them mfs get trigger happy. Depending on mission we would take the 240b, AT4, breachers but again rarely did 240 go in unless absolutely needed or if overwhelmed outside. I think the AR-15 (m4,A1,2,3) is still going to be sufficient. Still, if you able to carry 7.62 in a smaller footprint by all means do so but keep in mind once you start licking off shots them rounds are going to Penetrate a lot of shit lol

Edit. Forgot to add rates of fire. Don’t just go cyclic (dead hand trigger squeezing off rounds and not hitting shit) use bursts and discriminate fire. Ammo goes quick in full auto but I thought the burst cams had to be disabled for civilians? Hence the binary trigger which is a legal way to go full auto. Gotta check that.

I have it and man this lil sucker is nice! Feels solid yet is extremely light. Feels natural. I have the concealed pouch and clip for it. Adding viridian green laser soon.
I had to get rid of mine. I was riding the slide with my grip & it wouldn't lock open upon emptying the mag as a result. The slide lock was a pain in the ass to deal with and the very tight springs didn't help with that at all. Feels good in the hand & is very snappy when shooting. Overall it's a nice conceal carry gun but the issue with the slide lock & having to learn a new grip just for that 1 gun wasn't good for me

I have one, can't shoot it for shit. I'm still not giving up on it yet, I just installed some Hyve components (trigger and mag extensions). Let's see what happens.

That was the first thing i noticed! Slide is tighter than a virgins pussy! I'm keeping it though. Going to put a green laser on it.

Definitely try her out at the range. She's snappy as hell and for me the slide lock not engaging was a pain in the ass. It be recessed into the frame made it damn near impossible to lock the slide unless without an empty mag inside.

laser man

I have a LC9 with the green Viridian laser. I could never warm up to it. I may have to try it again. I'm thinking if I can get semi consistent shot placement, I will just get an optics ready model (of whichever I'm better with P365, Hellcat, or G43) and run a RMR cc.

Were you shooting low and to the left a lot with it?

Nah, my target looked like it was shot, with a shotgun.
I know how to correct off center shot placement, if it's consistent. This is something else, I'm thinking the mag extensions should give me pinky purchase. We will see how it goes. I'm notoriously horrible with sub-compacts, it's become a personal challenge to get better.

*Fwiw I have the same issue with the slide lock lever on my Hellcat. I'm hoping that someone comes out with a extended version.

I was asking as I noticed similar with my shots & saw youtube videos with some saying similar. Could be cuz of the snappy feel & recovery when shooting

The felt recoil isn't that bad, but it could be the issue. I'm going to try the mag extensions (& trigger) and see what's up. If that doesn't fix my issues, that bitch is going to be banished to the deepest depths of the safe.

**FWIW, the CZ forums are saying that the slide release is designed not function like a typical release. You are supposed to slingshot the slide into battery. Fuck that, I'm not a fan of this design.

Went to the range today & tried the Sig P365 XL. I was very impressed with how easy it was too shoot & didn't have as much recoil as I thought it would based on its size. Definitely no where near as snappy as the Hellcat is. I do have to get used to its grip size though. My shots were off & the rso was like a lot of ppl hold it in a way where their grip is so full that their trigger finger is deeper into the trigger area than it should be resulting in imprecise results. Gonna go back to the range on Friday & try it out again. It'll probably end up being my CCH piece as soon as I get my damn CCH permit.
