Wendell Pierce says "#ADOS is divide and conquer bullshit!"

Ok, this need to be delved into.
Descendents of slaves in America need to be included, no matter how long they were enslaved, no matter where they came from, no matter how they got here.

I dont agree that those Haitians, that he's referring to that came to Louisiana after their Haitian revolution, should be discredited or excluded from the ADOS movement.

They shouldn't be discredited!
They also weren't here in Louisiana walking around as free people while other black people were slaves. And if you show me 1 person that was, there are 50 who weren't
AND
his family DID come from slavery. They had an earlier revolution to get rid of slavery
Everybody over here comes from slavery. The only way you don't come from slavery is if you come from parts of Africa and are 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation right from the continent which is dope for them!

Yet its perfectly fine Nigerians to claim a tribe or for a Ghanian to speak one of their 400 native languages. The Jews can be untied by the holocaust and slavery in Egypt but its stupid for slave descendants to be united by that common event that lasted longer than both those events.

Yet im supposed to subscribe to a white concept called BLACK and its non descriptive stereotypes? When are you other going to stop claiming Carribean or African heritages/tribes/nations.

Im supposed put my trust in a bunch of descendants of people who sold my ancestors and currently wont give me citizenship to thier 3rd world countries because they are scared of losing control of a already fucked up situation?

Are you fucking insane. Im supposed to be some non descriptive COLORED person with no recognition of their heritage. Fuck you and the boat your parents came on.

Who has a problem with what you call yourself?

@KingTaharqa
Let's look at Mr. Met's history. Keep in mind that he was posting these sideways swipes at reparations YEARS ago, way before ADOS became a hot social media topic. That should tell you everything you need to know about him.

ONE poster who posted articles about what OTHER PEOPLE were saying means SIX posters said they were against reparations?
Yep, you're full of shit.

Its leadership can be divisive with how it steers the movement.
They seriously may need to hand the reigns over to some other more qualified & competent people
I agree. The leadership is steering the movement the wrong way. They also like to speak ill of others who did the groundwork before them. People who were qualified and competent.

@VAiz4hustlaz in 2 years the only non ADOS on this board to make a legit thread entertaining reparations to ADOS is @Spectrum.

You got me confused with someone else. I was born in Detroit. Most of my family is from Mississippi and the rest Alabama. You must have gotten your wires mixed up because I used to make those travel threads and I've lived overseas.

There should be no debate about reparations. I don't even understand how anyone that is ADOS couldn't be against this. All of Western Society was built on the back of slavery. We're long overdue from being compensated.

Anti-ADOS are anti reparations and bigoted towards Black Americans. The grift is up.

I'll give you credit for something though..... the hate that non-ados black people have for us.... or maybe not hate.. but disrespect is real as fuck and it's ironic considering what we've done for everyone... and we still include them in our struggles by saying "black and BROWN"... but they don't do shit for us.. I'm not saying everyone is like that but the sentiment is real. We don't have to be bigoted like CACs but we gotta understand that we must look out for ourselves because everyone else just uses us man...

That explains your thread then. I guess there has been no non ADOS to make a legit thread about reparations on BGOL. I admit I was wrong. :o

They don't fuck with us like that man. It's something that's becoming clearer to me daily. We're like the black sheep of the diaspora. It's odd

We live in a system of WS. Everyone operates in that system. Our constitution clearly states ADOS is bottom casted. Every group wants to get closer to who they see as the "winning team" by shitting on us. We are the ONLY active force against American WS. The ONLY group that kicks up dust. It shouldn't be suprising the most powerful empire has every group around the world including the diaspora trained to NOT to side with us. Thats why I don't single 1 group out cuz its EVERYONE. We have few allies, and thats cool, cuz we dont need them.

He off on a tangent about the language being used instead of the goal of the movement.

Ive never had any problem with any African ethnicity until the jealously about me being an American and being slave descendant became a problem.

I still dont have a problem with most Carribean or African people. But I dont care if you are black or white. You shit on my heritage and I shit 2x as hard on you. This aint nothing but online talk for me. I dont carry this energy into the real world.

Most of us get along fine in real life and should continue to do so. Ultimately we have to work together to make progress for a better world for Africans. Non ADOS need to stop the disrespect and understand we aren't your enemies and the people pitting against us are.

The average Black American has never met an African. Or they know very few, and certainly not a community of them. Depending on where they live they might know a handful of West Indians. Blacks all over the world have attended our HBCUs for decades. Our celebs and athletes have built schools in Africa, given to relief efforts in the Caribbean, helped promote independence all over the diaspora. We are the original and only Pan Africans. The movement reached its greatest heights here. There is no reason for non ADOS to have an issue witb our lineage, culture, and justice claim. Except for the fact they do in fact support White Supremacy, and seek a better standing in its system rather than challenge it.

You implied some people you see on YouTube were the "leaders" of a lineage of 30 million people. I then asked who is the "leader" of the Jamaican lineage? Haitian lineage? Who are their representatives?
No, I stated they are the leaders of the ADOS movement. Tone & Yvette are the principal parties associated with ADOS.

Huh? My focus isn't on distinguishing myself from others that look like me, my focus is on reparations. In order to get that from the American government, we need to make sure to let them know who they will be paying funds to exactly.

I'm not sure why you mentioned Drayonis, me and him cool and as far as I know he's for reparations too.

I have a lot of these weirdos on ignore, but if my name is mentioned it further proves my point. Their movement isn't about reparations like I said, but fighting black people who have immigarnt roots (1st) and voter suppression (2nd).

And this is all I meant from jump.
Something made him holler about being associated with African Americans.
He's strong in his haitian roots WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL
and at the same time is saying "I'm not like them"
MY FAMILY bootstrapped it. We ain't victims of that shit y'all hollering about.

Well Wendell. Mine was.

I dont think Pierce is saying he has Haitian roots at all.

He's just saying that is descendant of a people, he is not the descendant of a crime or an institution.

He didnt have a problem being associated with African Americans. He had a problem being associated with the online movement ADOS.

Also, he is right about Haitians coming to New Orleans to join the black community there. Although I dont think they should be included in reparations. They have been there for a long time. That is an historical fact.

I didn't know you weren't from here. Now I see your take on this. Saying riding coattails directly to you is offensive. I can acknowledge that. My bad. That's some closed doors shit shouldn't be said directly to an immigrant. Should have said 'benefit.'

I can admit how things are sometimes presented is divisive. I used divisive language in this thread with you. If I were saying this as public policy, I'd use more careful wording to get my message across about ADOS movement and the relationship to black immigrants. Presentation is everything. I'm bullshitting in the barbershop.

I often make the point about Obama and white privilege. He may say that shit behind closed doors, but never used that term out in public while campaigning or in office. And it worked. He was able to bring up systemic racism WITHOUT alienating whites. ADOS movement can function without publicly saying things that can alienate black immigrant as allies. At the same time, we should expect black immigrants not to prop up the political system and undercut the efforts.

Again, we in the barbershop here, so it's rough around the edges. The movement needs polished spokespeople who understand politics and that perception matters. See how I just listened to you when you said 'I wouldn't call that riding coattails'? I didn't tell you what to feel. I take you at your word. Benefit is a word I think we both can agree on.

Respect.

I can really dig that. Build your coalition fight for what's owed. But don't divide those who are with you over it. No infighting needed

Yep, you're full of shit.

I could comb through each of their post histories and find similar anti-reparations sentiments. The fact that they, and you, are unwilling to even discuss the racial wealth gap and disrupt any threads about that issue with your anti-ADOS, vote-Biden rhetoric tells me everything I need to know.

You're intentionally lying to create division. You should be banned from bgol. I'll do it myself. Ignored.

Now BGOL immigrants say they haven't undermined ADOS or reparations.

Black Americans dont want to unify with bigoted immigrants. We don't need them, they cant help us.

I expect a lot of posters to stop posting after November. They boxed themselves into a corner they cant get out. It was all good when the Dems were playing games last year, they followed their lead. Now they see the writing on the wall. :itsawrap:

If Biden wins, they’ll spend the next for years saying “he’s playing chess” like they did for Obama.

Like I have always said America will never pay reparations to black folk, all this division on who should get something that is not going to happen it just plain stupid.

It can be done but these mofos ain't even pushing the issue. Like you said they busy trying to secure a bag that they ain't even got. Man I can really go in on these counts but there will be a lot of collateral hurt feelings.

Dude there is no such thing as black immigrant communities. The Chinese have communities, Italians have/had communities, Jews have communities. Black immigrants are black and blend in with African Americans. Black folk don't walk around separating themselves like that. That's you and your trolling agenda. No matter what corner of the planet we come from we are black. Cultures are embedded in all of us. When white folk are exercising discrimination they don't give any black person a pass. You can't slip this nonsense by the intelligent black folk on this board.
You sir are full of shit. I can drive you to some Somali, Sudanese, Ethiopian communities right now and they do NOT fuck around with any black Americans and follow the direction of just about any white person they perceive is any authority figure (which is essentially any white person they come into contact with) at least while living here in the USA.

I know because I worked w immigrant and refugee populations for 7 years.
