JJ Abrams name being mentioned does not mean anything. You remember a tv show name Fringe? They promoted the crap out of it saying by JJ Abrams, yet in a interview Abrams said he was involved with coming up with the concept in one meeting that took a couple hours and that was it.
Its just a way they use to market these shows.

The writer didn't mention Abrams one time. He holds Peele in very high esteem and flat out said without Peele there would be no show.
Yeah but Fringe got its budget because of Abrams....and back then Abrams hadn’t directed a Star Wars or Star Trek movie. He’s much bigger now.
Based on articles it seems that Peele brought the show to Jj Abrams to help produce.
After this episode I don’t really like this show. I will give it a couple episodes but it’s not must see tv for me right now. Some ol witchcraft shit

no, he didnt choose at all. The dude asked him to choose between his father and uncle (he doesnt know that his father is actually his uncle, and his uncle is his father). Before he could choose, he shot George. George died because he wasn't heeled and they had to move him from the collapsing house, so he didn't make it.
Yeah, but both Letie and George were shot. Letie was healed. Remember when she went to the mirror covered in blood, because she could remember and looked for a wound. That's when they panned to George with Omar taking care of him.
yeah, they haven't gone into how she healed yet. Letie was shot before Tic was asked to make a choice. Tic didn't actually choose George, he just looked at him and dude just shot him
The deal was if Tic willingly went through with the ritual the father would heal uncle George like he had already healed Letie. But ol well the father was turned to stone and crushed during the ritual so i guess all deals were off. Tic and the daughter spoke all about it right after tic was washed pornhub style.
