Lovecraft Country - HBO series Official Thread - Premieres August

Who's the real monsters of this episode?

The vampire or the dude changing into a vampire with half of his shoulder eaten still holding a shotgun cause you can't trust black people?

This concerns me because I have a strange feeling that the sheriff, Eustace Hunt just turned into a vampire, and may very well be a major problem as a member of the "undead."

Nah you don't.
This way is the best way because you lose a lot binging shit

It's forgotten next week
this deserves to have a discussion about every episode so you remember it clearly

I prefer HBO's weekly pace of that binge for discussions. The anticipation factor is gone with the entire season dumped

I hope they concentrate on showing a strong black family without interjecting unnecessary faggotry.

Too late. But that quick dirty alley scene was the writers way of saying, "ok ok, let's get this quota bullshit out the way to focus on more pressing matters of the story line"

Pure dopeness

I liked it... I actually thought the monsters took away from the show

The supernatural is a main ingredient and what saved the main characters from being lynched in the sundown town (some where in MA). It also illustrated the racist nature of a vile cop struggling with trusting actual monsters versus unarmed Black people.

The Youtube reviewer, Heavy Spoilers, totally missed a number of things when he said, "Atticus decides to skip the ride" and referred to lynching as "punishment". Of course, he was promptly corrected in the comments section.

Rewatching it now.

Denmark Vesey - Leader of a slave revolt in 1822

If y'all would be so kind, add little easter eggs when you find them

At 25:15, The Count of Monte Cristo written by a black man Alexandre Dumas. Inside is a picture of his mother (the gorgeous Erica Tazel), his father and a young Tic

I missed Tazel's pic. I think I was pouring some coffee.
