Man you have to look at the current volume vs what the normal volume is. If normal volume is 1k and currently is at 30k in volume, you know that stock is gonna move. Same thing vice versa. I bought after the bell, around 9:45 at 2.30, sold at 2.74 from sell stop

Thanks for mentioning this and it reminds me to experiement with the parameters on my screeners. As of now, I've been taught to look for stocks that are gapping up from the previous day close. Which is fine but i think it misses certain stocks. I'm going to be experimenting with "unusal" volume paramaters which i think give a more immediat insight that something's going on with that particlar stock.

Trial and Error

Congrats! Whatever happened with that guy? Did he turn out to be legit?

He stopped posting stuff. I'll alert his moves if he pops back up. He called some good stuff. He wanted people to follow his groups on discord and instagram. I saw his stuff on WeBull in the comments section. That is something I would recommend for those that aren't confident yet. Get a mentor or a group. Especially alerts when plays fall through.

That's what's up! The mentor thing is bigtime in damn near any endeavour. Don't have one so i'm learning from you and the others on the board.

I'm a novice at best. The usual suspects in the last 15/20 pages are who you should hit up (too many to name). I started investing for additional income during the pandemic. As I continue to learn and grow (gains), I've built enough confidence that my goals have broadened. The group that I follow, I mainly paper trade and study charts/candles. The learning curve to keep up was challenging. My winning or go to stocks have been $SPY $FB $ROKU $BA $NKE and this week $JD. I usually do 1 play with my group per week. I had to stop playing PM (I kept getting stuck in shorts).

My PUT on TEVA showing some life. They had good news today and it dropped. Completely backwards but I figured once volume dropped It would be a slow bleed towards $9. If it continues the rest of the week I’ll be in good shape.

Good morning everyone. I'm in $OPGN PM...pushing for $4/5. I got in at $2.30 then I got scary and jumped at a dip. $3.31 is the new entry.

$3.20 SL

I have a meeting soon...i close out when I'm up.

Update: I got out at $3.5

I hope everyone got out before the market opened.

Its looking like a college fund.
Pushing for $2

My girl got in at 1.5 137 shares...made $60
Got out right after the halt at $2

FUCK MAN!!! I'm always playing the wrong card...I went heavy on $OPGN and got in on $GEVO late...Pissed because during my premarket homework i saw the news and didn't think anything of it...

Difference between $1,200 and fucking $50 profit so far....

I made the same error...reading up on $GEVO

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 20, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gevo, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEVO) announced today that it has entered into a binding Renewable Hydrocarbons Purchase and Sale Agreement, dated August 17, 2020 (the “Agreement”) with Trafigura Trading LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trafigura Group Pte Ltd (“Trafigura”). The Agreement is a long term, take or pay contract and is the largest contract in Gevo’s history. Trafigura is one of the world’s leading independent commodity trading companies with over $171B and over $54B in revenue and assets, respectively. Under this contract Trafigura is expected to take delivery of 25MPGY of renewable hydrocarbons, the majority of which is expected to be low-carbon premium gasoline with a smaller portion of the volume for sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”), starting in 2023.

“This is our largest single contract to date, and with it, brings Gevo to over $1.5B of revenue in long term contracts when added to the other contracts we have in place. As drop-in fuels, Gevo’s renewable, very high-octane gasoline and SAF are a perfect fit with Trafigura’s existing fuels business and will allow them to integrate these low-carbon options seamlessly into their supply chains. We expect that our low-carbon fuels will enable certain of Trafigura’s customers to substantially lower their carbon footprint,” said Patrick Gruber, Chief Executive Officer of Gevo.

This maybe a long term play...even with all the short sellers it still managed to hold so far.

Over 800 million in volume. The shorts are going in. Should have ran back over $2 by now. Watch AH...or when Robinhood time ends.

I'm assuming the shorts don't want to hold this overnight(AH/PM). Which i assume means this could pop back up to $2+?

No, this is a long hold for them. This stock has a lot of patents pending. They see the value. They are just buying the dip. Ive been watching the short for the past hour or so. It has to break 1.85 for me to go back in.

Update: its running...hit $1.99
Volume dropped to 900 million

Also, I was just offered free level 2 on Webull...anyone else get that?

Ideanomics (IDEX) Securities Class Action:

The complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, Defendant misrepresented and omitted facts concerning the development of Ideanomics' electric vehicle hub in Qingdao, China, the Mobile Energy Group ("MEG") center, and overstated the strength of its electric vehicle business. According to the complaint, Defendants repeatedly lauded its "one million square foot MEG center," while concealing the MEG Center was not operational. Defendants also publicized new electric vehicle contracts when, in fact, these agreements were fabricated.

The way the market goes these days probably means shares will skyrocket :dunno:.
