THIS is why nobody really cares about baseball: Fernando Tatis Jr.'s 3-0 swing sparks another conversation about baseball's unwritten rules

Fernando Tatis Jr.'s 3-0 swing sparks another conversation about baseball's unwritten rules

After missing a take sign on a 3-0 count with the bases loaded, the 21-year-old phenom blasted his first career grand slam to give the Padres a 14-3 lead in the eighth inning. During a presser after the game, Rangers manager Chris Woodward said he "didn't like" the swing, adding that the unwritten rules of baseball are "constantly being challenged in today's game."

And if the Rangers made a comeback in the 9th they would have been asking why he struck out. Sports allow white people to make numbers lie.

If he takes a strike or walk his era is down and so is his contract money.

If a offensive coordinator calls passing plays then a running backs numbers go down and money go down while they say his skills are diminished.

Call passing plays to make WR block or play decoy and then say look he only had 3 catches for 6 yards.

White men have 2 infinity Stones Power and Reality and they use them well.

Exactly , I’ve seen rallies where these fucks blow 5 run leads in one inning but he’s supposed to be kind to the cac opposition? Fuck them

Oakland just won a game down 5 in the 9th

KC was down 7 in the 9th, won:

A league who used juiced balls and allowed PEDs to stave off their death then villianized the dudes who saved them; they have a moral compass on following “rules”. Fuck outta here.

If it’s not an intentional walk. :dunno: That last pitch was over the plate anyway it looked like. I’m not sure about baseballs unwritten rules, with how much players have juiced lately. They didn’t have that when Mays and Mantle and all them played.

same thing applies to stealing bases with a big league. its an unwritten rule. you dont have to agree with it, but it is what it is.

I agree. Baseball's unwritten rules are so fucking ridiculous. It does turn people off to baseball.

Baseball players are by far the most immature, as a whole, of all pro sports. It's all peer pressure. They all think they are supposed to act a certain way, so that's what they do.

NONE OF THEM are going to throw a decent punch at anyone! So just stay in the dugout and eat some more sunflower seeds:smh:

This is,why I can't get into baseball because the unwritten rules is more ridiculous than the official rules.

Can't celebrate because the pitcher will throw the ball towards your head.

Can't take your time after seeing your homerun because the pitcher will throw the ball towards your head.

Can't hit on a 3-0 because the pitcher will throw the ball towards your head.

Baseball got a bunch of crybabies that tries to act tough.

Just watched this video like 30 minutes before this thread was made. This is JUST the kind of stupid shit that makes baseball unwatchable at times. I'm subbed to this channel. I think they put out this video because of Tatis situation.

Unwritten rules are not rules. Maybe you can have Muller lead the MLB.

Hell, just 24 hours earlier the Rangers were down by 7 and almost came back to win the game in the 9th inning. And where was the complaints when the Rangers beat the Orioles 30-3 or 26-7.

The dumbest shit baseball in America is the epitome of racist behavior and expectations, I love my Pirate lid and my Black Yankee lid but it ain't cause I'm a baseball fan, those hats just go with a lot of what I wear.

Sport is boring as fuck, and soft as doctors cotton! Watching so many men conditioned to make it their joy in life when guaranteed over 50% of them are just programmed to like it and never gave it a second thought after it became a regular habit.

Their unwritten rules are just prehistoric, you can throw at someone's head with a baseball that's coming at you around 90 plus mph. That can kill any human being on this planet. Then they will get suspended for just a few games, the pitcher may only lose a start if that. In basketball you come off the bench you are immediately suspended. Hell in football Myles Garrett swung his helmet and people wanted him kicked out the league, shit is crazy how the sports predominantly black have the most severe punishment but the white sports are not the same.

yeah baseball is way too sensitive and pussified when it comes to those rules. Last night nats outfielder Juan Soto hit a long home run and paused for an instant to 'look' at it...and the pitcher proceeded to curse at him as he rounded third. I didn't see an issue.

yep. and don't even get started on the NHL. the refs literally stand there and watch them fight. Call a double minor, or at most a game misconduct. and that is it. In all fairness though Garrett should have been out for the rest of the season.
