Conceived as a remedy for the subsistence of women during times of dramatic shortages of viable male partners, such as after war, or in fledgling cultures on unexplored land, yet to be inhabited by the masses, it offered protection and a supportive environment to lone women. Similar conditions exist, still today, in many countries around the globe, and reportedly, in some Black, US, metropolitan communities. Why, I ask, is it the business of the government, the church, or anyone else, if a man is able to, and wishes to take responsibility for the care, maintenance and happiness of more than one woman? As for me, I will enjoy partaking in the companionship of as many women as I want, while, of course, signing no government sponsored confining documents. It's a sorry rat that has only one hole to crawl into. And it's a sorry man that has no woman that interests him enough to share, at least, some of his successes with her. OK, that's church for today. I now return you to your regularly scheduled pornography.
