The Borg were kind of like zombies in that they were relentless in their attempts to attack everyone and turn everyone into Cybernetic organisms just like themselves. No matter how many you killed, they kept coming. When they would encounter a species they wanted to attack, they would "introduce" themselves like Fleece (booty warrior) Johnson and tell you that resistance was futile.
