Feel free to disagree, but after this episode, I just know Issa and Lawrence are not end-game, which makes me sad bc I love them. They’re not going to work for multiple reasons: Issa cheated & with Lawrence asking about Daniel during dinner, it shows that he hasn’t quite gotten over it. Issa was the come-up woman, whereas Condola is his trophy woman. Lawrence needed that closure and got it once he and Issa fucked. He’ll keep texting her bc Issa is free, familiar pussy, but he’s emotionally? He’s done with her.

To make matters worse, he kept playing around and joking the entire episode. I understand that they have that camaraderie as exes, but I feel like a man who is serious about locking you down and marrying you would have some more maturity in his interactions with you. He was mature with Condola. He’s not mature with Issa.

It should be noted that all their interactions this season have been like that. Remember, Condola brings up the fact him and Issa had all these private jokes they are sharing amongst themselves. The dinner is just an extension of that. I feel the author kind of missed the boat on the joking part because that seems to be the core of their relationship. To me it's about Lawrence being in a better place right now. It's a lot easier to joke about bad shit when you are feeling good about life overall (notice they both are feeling hella good right now because of their recent accomplishments and both of them enjoyed joking with each other). However, they still had a meaningful conversation in which they both admitted where each one had fucked up.

However, I can't lie. When Issa was walking home, it kind of felt like she had moved on. I can see him getting the job in San Fran and her not wanting to be in his way. I mean it not like she can move to San Fran with him, since the show has at least one more season.

As for the rest, I don't see Condola as a prize. Her friend said he was just a fuck buddy. She's recently divorced and she made it clear, she's not ready to settle down. Hell, she couldn't even tell him she just got divorced, he had to find out from the same friend that called him a fuck buddy.

Andrew has spent his entire life around people with mental disorders. His brother Victor, his sister, Nathan, and now Molly. Nevertheless, Molly is the only one mental misfits who can’t seem to make a positive step in being acclimated to society. Victor bought tickets to the Clippers game, the sister reached out, and Nathan is proud to be Bi ... polar. A little petty talking about Lawrence, a man you don’t know. But okay.

But here’s Molly sending goofy texts about putting up with Issa. I may not think the best of Issa but she’s not give me sainthood now for now, for putting up with this mothafucka.

I try to give all the characters the benefit of the doubt, but it's impossible to defend Molly in last night's episode. She is incapable of compromise and taking responsibility for her actions. Looks like Andrew might be done with her, too. If he has to constantly choose between her and his brother, what does she think is going happen?

Issa's instinct to connect with Molly was selfish at first, but she did make a genuine effort. Molly thought showing up was good enough, and then got offended later on when Issa agreed that maybe they don't fit anymore. What was Issa supposed to do? Get on her knees, take all the blame, and beg for forgiveness?

I don't think Molly was looking for her to beg. I just think Molly wanted Issa to apologize in the first place. For some reason, Issa did't seem to want to acknowledge that she hurt her friends feelings in anyway. Although, it was obvious that they both were looking for the other to apologize. Why neither one couldn't be the first to say "I'm sorry for not respecting your feelings" seemd strange to me.

Horrible take lol
People love projecting their own relationship shit on other people.

The joking is why they work.
Issa jokes Lawrence jokes
They both were out of place and corny with other partners we've seen them with
So the take is completely wrong
And this lady needs to seek some help

I hear what you're saying, but Molly is unwilling to be the bigger person for the sake of a friendship or relationship. Everything has to be on her terms.

Agreed about Andrew, he's giving her plenty of opportunities to grow and change but she's unwilling. She thinks she's always right and she lost Issa and is going to lose Andrew. If he's smart! You can look in his face and see that he's tired of her.

I agree, when someone tells you that they've outgrown you. There's nothing left to say. Not to mention Molly wasn't "Trying", all she did was show up and think that was enough. She's definitely doesn't compromise and that's gonna cost her both relationships.

Man do you know how hard it is for people to say "I"m sorry"? Nobody ever likes to admit when they're wrong, even when shown!

Agreed

I believe Issa was willing to talk about the drama and only avoided talking about the drama at first to kill the awkwardness. Since Issa had to do that, it was Molly's job to be like "ok, let's talk about it." That would've been her meeting Issa halfway. Molly didn't do her part, she chose to be fake.

I think even the fact that when the bill came, it either had to be Molly paid for the whole thing, or Issa paid for the whole thing. They didn't even consider splitting the bill. That was like a subtle foreshadow.

Molly ain't gone have shit until she stops sacrificing her relationships just to win arguments. She'll sacrifice her relationship with her dad, her best friend, her man or anybody that is interested in her, and her co-workers just to feel like she won.
