I guess the Mayweather money made it an easy decision. :dunno:

mayne the ufc pay model is fucked up
remeber when they were trying to get Connor to help with the Union

the fighters have no leverage
they only leverage they have is to 'retire' which doesnt help cause they still under contract
in the last few weeks Connor, Jones & King of Cringe of all retired

and Masvodial aint happy either
i know these issues are partly related to the panademic but its bringing alot shit to the surface. figthers want to get PAID fairly

Could it also be his racist schtick might be finally played out to a point he wouldn't dare use it again?

lowly ranked boxers
take less punishment and get paid more

I dont understand anyone who will go to UFC for the money
it must be love of the fight

i think it was only just last year they got health insurance

Anybody spend money on that UFC ppv to watch them go three rounds (usually boring) and win by submission? I didn’t.

Id only pay to see knockouts, that’s why I prefer boxing.

most of the fanbase and management is MAGA and some of the black fighters lean that way (or feel uncomfortable speaking up)
I think it was easier to appease figthers when there was more money to be made in the cases of Jones, Cideou, Masdival and Conor are all household names and/or multiple champs. They wanna be paid like that pandemic be damned.

UFC paymodel is all fucked
i guess its because boxers are legimtately independent contractors who are signed with promoters vs UFC fighters that are also independent contractors but once they signed with the UFC have limited bargaining power

damn shame when a mid-carder fighter makes less than i do in a year in a fight even with bonuses. that shit aint right (especially when you consider they only fight a few times a year and have to pay for their camp.

its 2020 and i would guess most of their fighters still have day jobs or coach to supplement their income. Their 2 time world HW champ is still an active fireman. I dont think he is doing it because he loves the job. What major sports do you have where the most of the talent still have day jobs to make ends meet.

the UFC also limited the money fighters could make once they signed the exclusive deal with Reebok
imagaine the NBA making a player get rid of their Nike sponsorship because the league was sponsored by Addias

ufc pulls shit that is only really comparable to the WWE & the WWE aint a real sport but they both take advantage of independent contractors and their contracts are one way (they can cut you but you can almost never get outta contract early)

Dana & company has a fiefdom. Its good their parent company's bottom line and could fight their fans (part of the reason why usually get the fights we want) but it sucks for the fighters

Yo real talk this a solid piece of writing...

You should post this as a blog or on social media

Attention is a hell of a drug, especially when all of the MMA world discussion of late (March to present) is surrounding Gaethje, Jones, Ngannou, Masvidal, Garbrandt, Sterling, O'Malley, Nunes and Burns.

this is it ufc just ain’t worth it due to injuries unless you love it. UFC is a sport that’s not about the money at all. The style is boring and it doesn’t have the appeal boxing has. Simply not worth the risk.

I forgot the dude who fought Robbie lawyer and got beat up bad and he only mad 59,000 for the fight and had to pay for his injuries.
Conor and them realize the ceiling is what it is, ufc won’t pay 20 million no time soon, it’s a bro, meet me at the bar sport. Attracts meatheads and cacs with tats who think they tough.

no real money in it.

Look how much wilder made and he got exposed by fury that he cant box.

all that punishment for the ufc for that payout isn’t worth it man.

Dana White along with Vince McMahon and Haim Saban are the 3 shadiest in sports and showbiz and that's saying a lot. WWE, UFC, and Power Rangers talent have been exploited by them on crazy levels

There's usually only around 9 UFC fighters a year that make the big money meaning they can earn at least $1 mil a year gross without counting on a Brock Lesnar or GSP to come back and fight since they're no longer active. Think about that only 9, even the PFL which is a startup has 6 since there's 6 winners for the $1 mil prize of winning the tourney for each weight class. I don't know how many in Bellator, ONE, Rizin, KSW, and Road FC but it's probably few if any. Compare this to boxing where theres 70+ boxers that can usually earn at least $1 mil a year gross

How many times has this dude retired? Floyd waves a contract at him he'll be in training the next day.
