Wait these motherfuckers just stop flights to Brazil :hithead: well people I hope we make it to November. Trump is always a day short on shit.

In Trump’s defense he didn’t need to block flights. No one is coming to the United States anytime soon. We the shit hole country now :dunno:

Haven’t checked but are countries banning us yet?

He must be really crazy,if he thinks a parent is going to sent their kids to school now... :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:
Shit. Is it true there were just 617 deaths yesterday? I use worldmeters.

Yeah man, if shit doesn't get crazy, I see them reopening schools. Look how DeWine flipped from hybrid to just going. Colleges have to shit or get off the pot soon. Some of them want that football money.

I'd have never guessed we'd be here right now. If you asked me a month ago, I'd have said Georgia would have had 617 deaths per day by itself right about now. But yeah, they about to probably reopen this fall without seriously prepping for online options. I just seen too many bad choices at all levels for it to go any other way. :smh:

Not that my kids will be going, they'll be online. But these creatures can have at it.

In Georgia you still can’t go anywhere and be in close contact with anyone. Churches, work offices, dine in and clubs are the virus breeders.

Grocery stores, bestbuys, Macy’s and stores like those have proven to be low risk with mask and limiting the amount in the store at a time to about 150.

Now those virus breeders I mentioned were not open but are full go June 1 in Georgia. That is when you will see a huge spike

nice post...

saw this interesting info with the graph,

  • Missouri reports at least 140 clients at a Springfield salon may have been exposed to the coronavirus from two hair stylists who tested positive after displaying symptoms while working.
  • Testing: Most states aren't doing enough, especially those that have seen larger outbreaks, per recent testing targets calculated by the Harvard Global Health Institute.
  • In the South, several states are seeing a rise in new cases, moving them further away from an important target for safely reopening parts of their economies.

Wait. What? I thought you guys reopened(not saying everyone who could did reopen) gyms, hair salons, barber shops, etc way back on April 24th. If that is true, what do you mean by people not being in close contact? It don't get no fucking closer than a salon/barber chair. :smh: We all agreed months ago gyms are the fucking worst places to be. Tattoo parlors were allowed to reopen April 24.

I think we might have to admit that the coronavirus might be very seasonal. But fuck, Trump's punk ass said that shit so I don't know if people will want to go that route. If the virus is seasonal, that MIGHT explain the reopening without significant death spikes. That also means there will be hell to pay this fall. :smh:

The corona virus is seasonal?

The corona virus is seasonal?
I said MIGHT be seasonal. Some studies have suggested as much. Georgia didn't turn into NY. Let's see how June goes and revisit. We have to see how this specific virus acts. I think the others have been seasonal.

Like we said from the start, this thing is very fluid. This topic ain't for people who aren't willing to admit they are wrong and adjust accordingly. Especially since this topic is so politically charged.

Places reopened, but a lot of people have chosen to stay out of those places. Mind you, some people have swarmed there (had a coworker that was literally talking about heading to the gym on day fucking one), but a lot of folks, especially in areas where the local government has been more cautious, are staying put.

Personally, it's going to be a while, if ever, before I'm going to be anywhere I have to be shoulder to shoulder with someone. They can open whatever they want to, but until we have safe and reliable ways of both tracking this disease and keeping it in check, there's no reason to just go back to things being the way they were.

That's the part that's frustrating to me, because I don't want their to be new waves of infections, and I don't want there to be people dying from ignorance. But if they don't get a backlash from this re-opening thing, then the next time a problem like this rolls around, they won't close shit (they've already said that's the plan now). So then people are just left to their own devices in a system that values money over life. That should end really well.

man i still know folks that didn't go get tested, even tho they have free fucking testing sites

I'm with you man. I'm not going anywhere near any risky shit. Fuck that. Kids coming up because they getting all new shit to keep them entertained during all this. I'm just lucky enough that we can handle the virus like we are doing.

Unfortunately, not everyone is like us. I know almost everyone I'm close to in fitness up here is hitting the gym next week. These are all black people. :smh: Driving around NE Ohio yesterday, weather was beautiful and people were out. I think we are significantly overestimating the people who are avoiding things.

I think how the media handles the next month will be important. If folks have to backtrack, backtrack. Because if they keep moving the goalposts for shit to hit the fan with reopenings, they will lose credibility if this thing is seasonal and comes back full force during flu season.

I hate to say it, but it's like SOME people are disappointed shit ain't getting crazy. Myself? I've never been so happy to be wrong.

Many of the businesses like Gyms either didn’t open or limited the number of people in the gym with mask wearing. Most salons and barbershops were appointment only but the stylist or barbers wore mask. Basically the businesses you mentioned were low risk because they limited the amount of exposure by having limited traffic.

The work office and places like church are breeding grounds. Clubs are a full go June 1 also. With so many people In one space for over an hour gives long exposure times for the virus to really circulate.

it seems like if you take precautions and limit the time of potential exposure the virus is manageable. But a group of people in an inclosed area or very close proximity for over and hour is dangerous

We knew all the variables when they opened.

I still thought it would lead to disaster and so did many others. It didn't turn out that way. If June don't turn out bad, we ain't going to be able to tell people shit. :smh:

Confirmed cases of COVID19 have practically plateaued, especially since NYC has declined significantly. Why is this the case?

The number of confirmed deaths is on a steady decline with and without New York in the data.

Good question. Multiple strains? Weaker strains aren't getting people sick enough to seek out testing/care and are self-resolving, especially in asymptomatic folks. :dunno:

You would think Trump and his crazy supporters would want to stay ahead of the virus and take advantage of the low transmission rate during the summer. But opening everything up may cause a surge in the summer :smh:
