Well, looks like Spike got his groove back thank God.

I haven't seen Black Klansmann but I got as excited as a Fat man with free Popeye's sandwiches for life. I was already trying to request it.

My Pops was in Nam. I can't wait to get his perspective on this. He usually doesn't fuck with Vietnam era movies.

Have you had a chance to see this movie? I watched it with my pops earlier this year. Good cast ...

The Last Full Measure is a 2019 American war drama film written and directed by Todd Robinson and distributed by Roadside Attractions. The story follows the efforts of Pentagon staffer Scott Huffman and many veterans to see the Medal of Honor awarded to William H. Pitsenbarger, a United States Air Force Pararescueman who flew in helicopter rescue missions during the Vietnam War to aid downed soldiers and pilots.[3][4] The film stars Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Ed Harris, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Irvine and Peter Fonda, in his final, posthumous film role.

Production began in the United States in 2017, and the film premiered at a special screening for veterans in Westhampton Beach, New York.[5] It was released worldwide on January 24, 2020, and grossed $3 million against a $20 million budget. The film's title is taken from Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, where Lincoln honored the fallen, saying that they "gave the last full measure of devotion."[6]

Naw. I will see what's up though.

I will check this out. I want to say props to my late uncle. Dude got arrested in 1965 for talking shit to a cop. The judge said he would drop the charges if he went into the army. He was in Nam the next year. Dude seen some real shit, the kind movies are made of.

I can relate to the days when a disorderly conduct charge was literally a death sentence. I ran into a lot of dudes in Nam that wished they had taken that 6 months sentence rather than being face to face with Mr. Charles. I’m actually looking forward to seeing this flick. I left some good friends in the jungle over a war that should’ve never been

Y'all be bringing a whole level of standards for black writers, directors, white boy do some corny shit like forest gump, y'all in line applauded a movie with a mush mouth dumb ass niggas with shrimps in his mouth

I read a lot of fucking books. That story sucked ass to me. If you interested in this movie go read the actual book about the real bloods. It’s very interesting and you won’t want to put it down. The movie Dead Presidents is inspired by the book.

Thanks on that info about the book.. Most war books, makes the war movies look pg-13..

I haven't read any World War 2 novels from the Black perspectives. If ya'll can recommend any I would be grateful. Its time for me to order more books. Just picked up 2 Walter Moseley books last week. Dropped my cable subscription today and trying to get back deep into reading.
