"WW C"- COVID-19, GLOBAL CASES SURPASS 676 MILLION...Here we go again 2025 are we ready for Trump to fuck this up again?

Agreed. It's notable and very impactful too when you see shit falling apart after a few days / weeks earlier this spring. Let alone months / years from now later in 2020 and into 2021/2022.

And these reopening date giving people a false sense of reality. They are expecting things to be the same, but you go out it’s far from it.

It took me a while to get use to seeing people wearing masks all the time. Now stores are opening with limited capacity.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this unfolds. I think violence have went down nationally and probably globally as well.

Agreed. The first few weeks were eery. Having to commute to work - hardly any cars or people out there. Thankfully work has followed all the rules and guidelines and taken things very seriously. Lots of updates. People haven't wavered & have cooperated.

Got really frustrated in April with some of the hotter weather. Packs of people out for regular running and cycling groups. All travelling in close distance / proximity to one another. Recycled air. Others around them walking and jogging ... people thinking everything's fine. It isn't. It wasn't. People still need to set the right example(s). Others get jealous and envious of those habits ... they see others doing it and think - "Well, I can too ..."

"It only affects the older population ..."

"I'm young and healthy ... not a problem for me ..."

That's not the fucking point. Damn. Think about your parent(s). Your older friend(s). Your aunt(s) or uncle(s). People in your circle that have battled heart attacks, strokes, asthma, heart ailments, diabetes & more over the decades.

Exactly! It goes to show you how much people think of themselves first instead of how they effect others. It’s one of my biggest dislikes about humans.

Well said. The "me first" mentality. Look out for one's self alone, instead of seeing the bigger picture. Very frustrating. Instead of taking a step back and thinking about all of the variables.

Put it this way. My dad's gf's daughter just had her first child a few months ago. She's in her mid-30s. Baby was born 2 weeks early. She has a number of older relatives with health issues who are 70 - 92yo. Her older bro's had assorted health complications the past decade. She's got the right mindset though. Looking out for her own health post-childbirth. Her daughter's well-being. The assorted health concerns with older aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Not jeopardizing anyone. Slowly opening up the circle of contact with loved ones. Still keeping the circle understandably small. Mother's Day last week? A few people came by her place and they communicated from a distance.

Needed some work done on the car. So I walked to the shop to go get the vehicle. Let me tell you that this 'new normal' seems to be very close to the old normal up here in NE Ohio. Shop is 4 miles away, so I got to observe a good deal in slow motion. Passed a couple hair salons and I don't know what rules they were following. :smh:

Parking lots jam packed. People outside kicking it.

I guess 'new normal' is going to vary greatly by region. I said it before, the numbers just aren't there yet and combining that with official reopenings does give confidence(or false sense of reality as you stated). I searched online for Georgia and shit didn't hit the fan there since reopening 3 weeks ago. If Ohio mirrors that, forget about it. It will be summer as usual up here. :smh:

This has been my thought process since I first saw this movie. I blame "them" for the way things are with humans. It's pretty obvious with the way nature keeps on going as if nothing is wrong.

Went to Lyndhurst Aldi yesterday. Some old dude, with a mask on, was telling the guy cleaning the cart that this is all not needed. Then asked him does he know anyone that died from it. :hmm: I was so tempted to say "Do you know anyone who died from SARS or Ebola?! Then stfu." But not worth my time.
