Joe Biden should select a progressive woman for VP, not Stacey Abrams

This shit is about numbers. Joe has the black vote locked down. We know that he will have a black secretary of state or of defence. He will probably offer Jim Clyburn the post of Chief of Staff. Black people are the only reason why Joe, and not Bernie, is the nominee. But Joe also needs to generate enthusiasm; he needs to energise the base; he needs to excite the youth, and so far, there has been too little talk about universal healthcare, college affordability and income inequality, ie, the bread and butter issues of the progressive left. This is where he needs a bonafide progressive VP. It is with the selection of such a candidate that Joe would complete the encirclement of Donald Trump. For the black Americans, it is less important, even if it may be desirable, to have a black VP, than to have someone assured of bringing the party back together and sending Trump to Mar-a-Largo for good. Stacey Abrams is a bright and promising woman; Joe Biden can certainly help her future presidential aspiration by putting her in an important and conspicuous cabinet position, from which she can launch her own credible attempt at the US presidency in 4 years- a time when Joe at 82 will be too old to run.

With Stacy Adams, I think her inexperience is the real problem. In this race, the VP has never been more important because Biden is so old and likely wouldn't run for a second term. I think Kamala would be way better in that VP slot. And she gets a bad rap over the prosecutor role, but she has a really progressive voting record.

If Kamala can go on TV and champion that 2 g's a month plan and get a little bit of traction she can literally shut the door in Abram's face.

The VP needs to be a black woman plan and simple, the Karen's and Susan's but this fuck in office they dont deserve consideration.

Kamala's voting record is actually more progressive than Warren's. Kamala has a branding issue. I would be fine with Warren as VP if she wasn't so old. I don't like the idea of putting old ass Joe at the top knowing he can't do two terms and then putting another 70+ year old on the ticket...and Warren was my favorite candidate

I honestly don't understand why she became so popular amongst some folks.

She has no experience outside of Georgia State politics.

The other woman I'd select is Val Demings, due to her Law Enforcement background, but like with Harris, this could cause some concern due to some of the stuff done under her tenure as Police Chief.

I don't even think Biden will finish his first term, let alone run for a second term. If the Dems win big in the 2022 Mid Terms then I can see Biden leaving on a high note by that winter or sometime early in 2023 before the spring is over. If they don't win big he will take his licks and fade out at the end of his first term.

The problem with Kamala is that she has no base or appeal and her having a white husband will turn off a lot of black voters especially black men which have been trending away from the Democratic Party. Image if Obama had a white women as a wife? He would almost never get elected. Black voters and even white people wont trust him. What made Obama was Michelle.
