Rob Gronkowski hasn't ruled out an NFL return. That said, he doesn't sound like a man nearing a comeback.
"The day that I retired, within 24 hours there was already rumors that I was coming out of retirement," Gronkowski said Monday on Watch What Happens Live. "I'm feeling good right now. I'm happy where I'm at, and you just never know, man. You just never know. You never know. I'm not totally done; I like to stay in shape, but I've got to get that feeling back."
Gronkowski retired after the 2018 season and is signed with WWE, where he's the promotion's 24/7 champion after winning the belt at WrestleMania 36.

Speculation has increased regarding Gronkowski's return since Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March. While the Bucs have two solid tight ends in Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard, the team has reportedly been shopping Howard since last season. If Tampa finds a taker, it would create an opening for Gronkowski.
Making matters even more convenient is that Tampa is located within about an hour of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. WWE is filming most of its programming in Orlando, so it's theoretically possible that Gronk could play football and do occasional WWE dates. It's unclear what Gronk's WWE contract entails; his most recent duty was hosting WrestleMania.
He's consistently said he's open to playing football again while maintaining he's happy in his current life. WWE tends to pay its most famous names handsomely; it's likely his contract makes the financial hurt of being out of the NFL manageable.
What's more, any link with Brady in Tampa would require the Patriots to trade or release Gronkowski. Bill Belichick isn't in the business of giving away stars, so it would be interesting to see if the Pats were even willing to negotiate a deal to reunite the former New England teammates.

too late. He fucked up not letting Belicheat keep Goroppolo when Bilicheat tried to promote him to QB1and ship Brady out.

that would have kept them a contender another 7-10 years. Bilicheat has full operational control now just to keep him there because he will continue to coach until he can’t so he can get more rings than Brady.

the cacs that have been hanging around trump have been taking major societal loses.

Lol Kraft is on his way to being the same level as reinsdorf.

NE has a habit of casting off their black players (WR's, LB's, Malcolm Butler, could have kept LeGarrette Blount too) so fuck 'em.

Funny how when 2 players leave a long winning team built on professionalism and championships

because it isn't FUN?

Sports media salutes them

If a BLACK player had the ummm

Unmitigated gall

Right Stephen A Smith?

To do the same?

They would not only be crucified on every sports tv, website and radio show

But lose all endorsements

And be blackballed.

 It's funny. Bill did the same fucking shit in Cleveland with Bernie Kosar. A cat has to be local to understand how big Bernie was here. Lead these fools to 2 AFC championship games and was an icon. Bill said Bernie had diminishing skills. Folks hated him, but he was right.

Anyone watching Brady last year knew Bill was right again. Kraft let his feelings get in the fucking way.

Brady and Bill going to keep going off ego fumes right now trying to prove who is the 51 percent owner of that dynasty.

Remember BB traded Gronk to the Lions two seasons ago for a first round pick and the deal didn't go down because Gronk said he'd retire if it happened. BB keeps the team competitive because he doesn't wait too late to move on.

damn near prophetic on what players are almost done.

Brady might ride a talented team but he isn’t doing any heavy lifting anymore. Phillip Rivers is going to learn the hard way again this season too.

I’m sorry to be pessimistic but this is not going to work even if they have the NFL games this year.
