"WW C"- COVID-19, GLOBAL CASES SURPASS 676 MILLION...Here we go again 2025 are we ready for Trump to fuck this up again?

Tweet storm

1/ Hear me out:

If you're criticizing Trump's Coronavirus response as ineffective, you're doing it wrong.

The problem is - for all practical purposes - there has been NO RESPONSE.

The Administration has effectively declared surrender.

And 200,000 might die because of this.
2/ All the school, business, and beach closures have been carried out by states and cities, not Trump.

At the very least, Trump could incentivize non-compliant or complacent states to enact emergency measures.

But he does nothing, except provide weak, intermittent guidance.
3/ The only way to solve mask, test, and ventilator shortages is for the feds to organize production.

Trump has this power, but he chooses not to use it. His minimalist actions have barely made a dent.

And day after day, the shortages continue, and Trump does nothing.
4/ The supply chain for these same supplies has completely broken down into chaos. States and hospitals bid against each other, driving prices up. Supplies don't get to areas of greatest need.

Trump could solve this by federalizing the supply chain, but he does nothing.
5/ Every legislative action to fund the public health response and save the economy from total ruin has been driven by Congress.

Trump has no legislative agenda. He asks for no new authorities or new funding. In fact, his negotiators mostly argue for less money.
6/ Trump has no actual plan to contain the virus. The virus will grow unless there is a national plan to TEST, ISOLATE, TRACK, AND QUARANTINE.

But this takes a massive public health infrastructure that doesn't exist now. Trump has no plan, and no interest, in building it.
You cannot beat Coronavirus with a state-by-state, city-by-city response, with thousands of conflicting strategies.

Only a national plan will work.

And the problem isn't that Trump's doing the wrong things.

The problem is he's effectively doing nothing.

I watched this, and his answer to the follow up question was worse. The reporter asked him how could he not know, when that information has been out since January, and he said, "I'm not going to talk about that right now."
At the end of this politics should look differently.

One hospital for 75000 citizens. But the defense budget can afford to give ...

Yo, our dumb ass politicians better be paying attention to this 'second wave' shit. Because I don't want to hear shit about being shocked if this comes back with a vengeance in October. They better be fucking prepared. :smh:

Once we make it past this first wave, we are going to see who the true leaders are because they will be talking about preparing for the second wave.

No way they just getting this info. The German research about the virus being passed through breathing came out in early March around the same time the virus was found to be viable after 3 hours. No way at least that Dr. Fauci didn't know that shit if people such as myself knew this info weeks ago.
:smh: :smh:

Folks really waiting for peer-review with all the anecdotal evidence to support how easy this shit is being transmitted?

this is exactly why i am not fucking around.

I've learned a valuable lesson. You have to read the research for yourself. Period. Waiting for the WHO, CDC, or our government to make an announcement and you'll be sick as hell or dead. :smh:

Virus primary is transmitted by air. But no need to wear a mask:lol:

Then we have to post a thread on how to properly seal a mask to make them effective. WHO and CDC should have tutorial on how to properly wear mask

Just saw on the news, 6.6 million people claimed unemployment last week
Not a cumulative total, but just for 1 week alone (4th week of March)
And that's not even counting the 3.5 million people who filed 2 weeks ago (3rd week of March)
And not even counting the people who still can't even get through the jammed/busy phone lines, or busy servers online
Cot Damn !!! :oops::oops::oops:

I honestly hope that after this all winds down and things get back to some semblance of normal that folks remember who we deem as "essential" now and that all the fake hand-wringing about why they don't deserve decent livable wages fades away into obscurity for us to look back at in wonder (the way we look back on arguments against the 8 hour work day, safety regs and child labor etc etc).

What we are seeing is essential for society and then businesses claiming they essential for society but are really just trying to keep profit. What I hope is that some of these companies claiming 'essential' get sued into fucking oblivion when this is all said and done. People are going to die simply because greedy fucks don't want to shut the fuck down. :smh:
