It’s a shame. EVERYONE has vices but they differ in their extremity and risk. Gilliam risked his family and career in that hotel room with two men that don’t have his best interests at heart. Even the best case scenario of him getting drunk at a wedding with two guys who won’t take full responsibility, use drugs, and have a dubious past, is a really bad move for someone at his level. Crack was very prevalent and some people lead normal lives on it. The thing is, media covered crack addition different than they cover Opiod addiction. The media shitted on Berry. The people defended him. I tend to share the perspective of the people than what the media is telling me to think. I’m willing to bet that there are far more politicians currently abusing Opiates than there ever were smoking crack.
