2020 Democratic Debates

How so? I may have missed.
Earlier he went in on an "Economy Stupid" rant telling the field of candidates that all the BS they have talked about up to that point, means nothing, and that Chump is using the old "It's the Economy Stupid" line and will win in November because of the focus they are putting on Healthcare and other issues.

Oh. I heard that, wasn't remarkable IMO.

When voters are asked what they care about most, it is healthcare. And Dems have a much stronger comparative advantage there than on the economy. Steyer is wrong and the 2018 midterms illustrate that.

This debate is kinda hard to watch. They're all spouting so much rhetoric that we no will never see any action.

I dont think I have ever hated anyone more than I hate Trump and nobody on that stage is going to get anywhere close to beating him right now :smh:

So would you ever vote for any of them? Which one?

I'm voting and helping whoever gets the nomination but this shit is awful. :smh: I wasn't a fan of Hillary but voted for her and contributed. What did she do? Not campaign in swing states...:smh::angry::angry:

We're on the exact same page. Watching this is so frustrating. :(

Shit is pathetic. People weren't excited about Hillary so they managed to find people even less exciting. I agree with a lot of Bernie's policies/ideas but if he cant bring them out to vote in Iowa he's not going to to be able to do it in important swing states either. They need to choose someone now and then focus 100% on swing state voters. Literally just swing states. Trump's dumb ass will do enough on his on to get the vote out in the blue states.

Bernie and Yang are the best candidates running no cap. All the DNC fuckery in Iowa will only serve to embolden folks sick of the status quo to coalesce around folks with solutions.

No more mealy mouthed, weak af, Republican Lite Dems. Be about something or move tf on

But does he refer to his self as a socialist tho? I thought he was careful to draw a distinction.

He refers to himself as a Democratic Socialist. Same thing as far as I'm concerned-- socialism is inherently more democratic than capitalism-- but it was a necessary distinction to draw in the Cold War era.

I like Yang, but a big problem with him is that he is sensible and hasn't lost his shit over Trump. I just seen this.

Shit like that causes trouble for Yang. He hasn't played the boogeyman game, so he's losing cool points. While others rant and rave about white supremacy, he hits on the issues of jobs and ways of life being changed. His vision is so superior, but there are just too many idiots in the masses. :smh:

I just wish he didn't do that choir shit at the black church. I never paid attention, do the candidates go to synagogues and act like fools?

Bernie has been beyond "bad man" politics for a long ass time too breh lol

Yang has a 21st century vernacular. It's a surprisingly novel pov and most folks are way behind when it comes to proper framing of real issues. Some great policy insights too. I feel like he's gonna be an important voice whether or not he is part of the next admin.

No doubt, but Yang differs from Sanders in that he basically like :hmm: 'would ya'll please calm the fuck down". He's done this before. If Trump wins, Yang got 4 years to build off this and gain support. Yang is still young. These corpses got damn near 35 years on him.

Please enlighten me about Klobuchar. Why isn't she being considered as a viable candidate? She doesn't have the baggage of being a: communist, socialist, homosexual, billionaire, ethnic minority. Additionally, she is a: woman, ivy league educated, centrist, and sitting US senator. I don't see her record on issues directly related to African Americans, but that doesn't explain her lack of traction in other voting blocks. Tell me why.

It’s simple she has no charisma and is pretty boring plus Trump is a alpha male he would destroy her in a debate.

Hilary Clinton back in her senate days had a lot of charisma like Bill Clinton but as she aged she has lost all of her charisma and charm. I don’t know what happened.

Most important thing you need is too have charisma to be president and to be a leader too connect with people or like Bill Clinton said it best. The beer test. Who would you want to have a beer with.

OK, so you may not want to hang out with her on the weekends, but is that the only reason. Other than access to their wealth, I can't think of a reason to hang with anyone left in the race. I'm more interested in their 9 to 5, or strictly business activities and prospects. Now that we are getting down to the last 5 or so real candidates we have to think about more than can they play a sax, soccer, or beer pong. I hear Mussolini loved to party and could ride a unicycle.

That’s just how people are when it comes to leaders from Obama, Clinton, Reagan, to even Hitler. They had charisma and the charm that drive people to them.

Charisma, P.T. Barnum had it too. Only he was honest about what its most often used for, exploitation and fraud. I'm no rocket scientist, and struggle with big concepts, but this intellectual gullibility is leading us to an idiocracy or worse.

Bernie is the clear front runner. The whole field is going after him. They seem shook.

Also, could Uncle Joe go one debate without mentioning Barack Obama's name?
