Are you fuckin serious???? This man was a fuckin animal and the best EVER till this day at his position. He was the definition of elite and deserving to be in the hall. He was so gifted, that he was a 2-sport professional athlete!

I remember Shannon Sharpe saying that out of roughly 25,000 players who've played in the NFL only 326 are in the Hall of Fame with less than 180 of them still living.
Considering that's less than 2 percent of players in the hall it seems that there aren't enough being inducted.
Now if he has a beef with who is being allowed in and criteria for induction (which appears to be his argument) that is a different story.
I still think the issue with this process is the fact that members of the media and not former players/coaches are choosing who is inducted which they aren't qualified to do.
Writers and journalists are always going to be suckers for a players story and legend as opposed to their stats and qualifications which is probably why this is an issue.

1st off he wasnt elected 1st ballot and he was absolutely a HOF QB,He led the Rams to 2 SB and he led the Arizona Cardinals to the SB I mean the fuckin Arizona Cardinals. He was a 2 time NFL MVP had a winning record in regular season and postseason. His stats were being compared to Dan Marino cause they were incredible.
You do know when he retired Bettis was 5th leading rusher of all times and is currently number 8. He had 8 1000 yard seasons,was 6 time Pro Bowler,3 time ALL-Pro,won SB title,and his 3.9 yard average was due to his last 3 seasons when his career average dropped from 4.2 to 3.9. He was a slam dunk HOF Fullback.

He was a average QB who was carried by strong defense and running game to 2 SB wins made by him making 2 miracle throws in those games. IF Eli gets voted in then all these stats driven QBS will get in as well like Matt Ryan and Phillip Rivers.

The NFL has tweaked the Modern game so much in the last 30 years it has redefined the QB position and WR position. What were once Hall of fame numbers in the past wouldn't fly today. Take Joe Namath for instance. Dude has a lifetime passer rating of 65.5. He threw 47 more interceptions than touchdowns. He has a 64-64-4 record although if you threw the games he played in relief his record is 68-71-4. One could argue Namath is in the Hall for one game. His Super Bowl Upset Victory over the Baltimore Colts. He is not the only one. Looking at Namath's career it's hard to argue against Eli. Plus Eli has 2 SB rings. At some point, he is going in and Phillip Rivers will probably get in as well.

The Giants in 2011 had a below average defense and one of the worst rushing offensives in the league because the offensive line was the worst in the league. Eli couldn't make it through one game without getting destroyed because his tackles were awful. You can say Eli rode the defense and running game in 2007, I'll give you that, but Eli played out of his fucking mind throughout 2011 and put the team on his back and carried them to the Superbowl. That's why up until a couple years ago, Eli lead the league in 4th quarter comebacks because his defenses were usually fucking awful.
Eli is #7 all time in passing yards and touchdowns, and multiple Superbowl winning MVP and made 3 of the best throws in NFL history.
He's a fucking hall of famer.
He was never a top seven in his era yet people are going around saying he's a Hall of Famer just because he beat the Patriots twice.
Eli never made make All-Pro in his career.
