So he is getting pushback. If I were Chief Justic Roberts, I would have been pissed to deal with 12 hour days, not including breaks etc. SCOTUS duties, their nonsense, and try to sleep. As it is the 8 hour days will most likely be 12 hours.

Put it like this here if they don’t vote to allow witnesses they going to have a hard time holding on to the Senate in November (they would have a hard time anyway) the Democrats in the House of representative did an excellent job with the impeachment and Nancy Pelosi holding the impeachment articles for a month really set the tone

I don't believe we will hear from anyone on his current staff or even any that have departed, for that matter.
