I hear you but the thing is I don't question his ability to act whether it's movies, sitcoms or in skits like SNL so I wasn't surprised that he did well with them despite a few huck ups with lines which is common on live tv as you said.
I'm more concerned specifically with his ability to perform stand up again at a high level after not doing it for 30 plus years.
I agree Eddie is always going to be naturally funny but that's not the same as being funny and relevant during a comedy special.

Dude is funny as hell. After catching Cole Hearted I went to see him about a month ago in Pittsburgh,and he did nothing from the Netflix special,he did all new material and was funny as shit!
Cole had me telling my daughter, I been on this earth for 42 summers!!
