- There seem to be some rhetorical hijinks being played out in recent exchanges on Twitter. The April 2018 report mentioned by
@tonetalks never says economics “doesn’t matter.” In fact, economics matters decisively.
- What the report says is autonomous or pure self help activities by black folk will not eliminate the core ECONOMIC disparity, the black-white wealth disparity.
- The report doesn’t even say that self help efforts should not be pursued. It does say without a major redistribution of wealth toward black folk in advance of those efforts, their benefits will be very limited.
- One more point of clarification: universal programs like baby bonds ot the job guarantee or even the more regressive UBI are desirable. They simply won’t make much headway and eliminating the racial wealth gap. Reparations still would be essential w them in place.

I've been a fan of Yvette and Tone for a long time, they got bodied on this one though. Let the personal shit go. I was a little turned off how they were going at Boyce on a personal level over a year ago about his weight loss journey and some other personal shit. They needed to be put in check.
Mind you, this is all about Boyce. They didn't have shit to say about Dr. Anderson until he got on Boyce's platform.
Black Authority can say whatever Black Authority wants to say. Hotlantan's two consistent narratives on BGOL regarding your movement have been that:
1. The ADOS movement is being "used" to divide and conquer and ultimately exacerbate Black voter suppression, just as white supremecists openly brag about y'all doing their "dirty work". Don't know and really don't care whether the source from where Tone/Yvette/Tariq are getting their "checks cut" is the GOP or the KGB or the KKK - your movement is deliberately trying to achieve the exact same end result of disenfranchisement and. BLACK VOTER SUPPRESSION.
2. Your scorched earth strategy to demonize "ANY" and *ALL* Black people who cannot prove direct lineage to American slaves is fundamentally flawed and will cause/has cause lasting damage to the relationships between your handful of keyboard disciples and the other 39.9 MILLION Black Americans who may also want reparation but do not want to shit on others as part of a so-called strategy with NO legitimately defined goals other than retweeting vague buzzwords like "code" and "tangibles" and "cut the check." .

Yvette and Tone have their faults but going at Boyce wasn't one of them, since he regularly engages in low-ball tactics and has been accused of hustling a number of people. TBA didn't body them in this video. He just ranted, slang the word "coon" and ad hominem attacks, and broadcast misinformation since he knows most of his audience, like Tariq's, won't actually read the report.
They seem more focused on attacking Boyce than anything else. I've watched this play out over the year. TBA alluded to this. They have a tendency to attack other black voices for not being perfect. Shit, she went after Farrakhan and Welsing. There is a pattern. Yvette did a whole video about Boyce and Lizzo. Let that shit go.
- The Democratic Party is responsible for "black voter suppression" since it consistently pushes candidates who have no black agenda and/or have actually pushed initiatives that negatives affect black people the most (see Bill and Hillary and Biden on the crime bill and mass incarceration as a prime example). When we as ADOS bring up the loss of black wealth under the Obama Administration and the massive gentrification in Democratic-controlled cities like NYC, San Francisco, and Washington DC, why does this get ignored? And why should black people continue to support such a political party?
- The demonizing of "ANY and ALL Black people who cannot prove direct lineage to American slaves" has primarily been pushed by people like Tariq and TBA, both of whom reject ADOS and push and identify with other acronyms like FBA. We've had this discussion already.
