The new HAECO Eclipse seat. Could this be Emirates’ new premium economy? Photo: HAECO

Is Emirates the launch customer?
The launch customer for the seat has been described as “an as yet unnamed Middle East-based airline”. As such, there is probable cause to believe it could be Emirates. The airline is known to be implementing premium economy in the future, and this seat fits that mission. In fact, the seat represents a good middle ground between the carrier’s economy and business cabins. While deliveries of the new Eclipse seat will begin in Q1 of 2020, the seat is just under a year away from its public debut.

Virgin Atlantic premium economy makes it needless to buy business class for any flight under 10 hours.

Alaska air bought the company and theor planes. Still the nicest and most comfortable seats on the industry.

Delta is by far the best domestic,I had a business seminar last year in Salt Lake and I had choice of American United and Delta, the price point about $70 more for Delta than the others and I gladly paid the difference from what the company paid. Delta had nice movie selection,a full meal and free Wi-Fi so I was good.

I am going back t Amsterdam in November, gonna check the flight for them !
Actually, I must say that if you're going to Amsterdam and if you are near Detroit, I suggest that you consider taking Delta. They fly the new super special A350 to AMS and they have the new Delta premium select which is nearly as big as Virgin. You also don't have to go through London as you would with Virgin.

I fly out of philly, occasionally newark or JFK.
If I am out west, I fly out of san fran or Oakland.
If they do that from Detroit I should be able to get the same flight out of Chicago though. My daughter lives there so that's a great idea.

Domestic: Virgin America/Alaska Airlines

International: I'll find out this summer (I've only taken British Airways).

Southwest is good enough for me. Cheap and reliable. That's all I need. I'd rather splurge on the hotel where I'm going to stay than spend a bunch of money for a 2-3 hour trip, if I'm traveling domestically.
This but over the last 5 years, flying has sucked and I design airplanes for a living.

Domestic - Delta

International - Air Canada

Took Air Canada from the US to Toronto to Jamaica (best deal for when I booked) and AC was on-point; no WiFi that I paid for but a $25 upgrade gave me and my family plenty of room to stretch and relax for 4.5 hours. Great CS and free champagne too.

Took Air Canada from London to Houston

the worst decision ever

and bad enough I applied for air miles via aeroplane and I've not yet received anything

Delta the best
Southwest the worst

Rhein-Main-Flughafen,(Frankfurt Germany) &
BNA (Nashville) the best

Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta Ga the worst

Out of PHL, American Airlines. If you're TSA precheck you'll be through security in 7 minutes. I hate EWR and LGA. JFK is cool if you're on your JetBlue Crew vibe. If you know you know.

Allegiant until i actually researched them...old planes, lax maintenance procedures..

I've flown Delta, AA, Southwest, and Spirit.

Delta was the best, but I only flew with them the 2 times my job paid for it. Significant difference in comfort.

Worst by far was Spirit. They nickel and dime the shit out of you (to make up for those stupid cheap prices...a few times I flew to Miami/Fort Lauderdale from DC, I got round trip tickets from them for like $60) and the seats don't recline/move and have minimal padding. Very uncomfortable. I also am susceptible to my ears "popping" and I have to wear ear plugs when I fly with them...I haven't had to do that with the other airlines.

Airports...both my favorite and worst I've experienced are in Florida. Fav airport is Orlando. Very spacious, lots of amenities there. Worst was Fort Lauderdale...they are ramping up their traffic, but haven't built out the terminal to match it...very small terminal/cramped last time I traveled there...gate seating was terrible.

Emirates and Swiss Air had best international service. I've heard about Virgin Atlantic. Haven't had the opportunity to fly them yet. I recently flew Ukraine Air to Kiev for a connecting flight to Copenhagen. Very good service and the transfer to Copenhagen was surprisingly easy and the airport was top notch. My home airport JFK should be thoroughly ashamed and kill themselves. If Kiev can do it like that. (Who knew).

Lastly, get "Clear." The annual fee is the best deal in town. There is a nominal fee to add family members. It used to only work at Delta terminals since Delta was an earlier investor, but now it is expanding at airports throughout the states. Plus it's at sports arenas. At airports you are escorted right to the TSA officer, you just show him/ her your ticket. Everyone looks at you what the fuck. Lol. Plus walk right in to concert venues, games. They use it at Yankee Stadium, Citifield, MSG, MetLife Stadium, haven't been to Barclays yet this season, but its probably there also.

Interesting that you say Delta is the best airline but rank their headquarters and flagship airport as the worst.

Have you seen the new International wing?

its funny how everyone has their opinions...

I fuckin hate delta and united... but maybe thats because Im not frequent flyer with them..
