:smh: Chappelle's coon friend killing herself is no shock, obviously a disturbed person based on his description of her in his transgender version of the "but my black friend says it's okay" routine. RIP.

Transgender activist and comedian Daphne Dorman has died at 44.

Dorman, of San Francisco, posted a note to her Facebook page Oct. 11 asking friends and family for forgiveness. Becky Kugler, who identified herself as Dorman’s sister, confirmed in the comments of the post that Dorman had taken her own life.

“It is with great sadness and despair to hand out this information. Sweet, sweet Daphne,” Kugler wrote. “I so wish we could all have helped you through your darkness. We’ll always love you, fly high sweet angel.”

That same day, San Francisco’s Office of Transgender Initiatives confirmed Dorman’s death on Twitter.

The news comes weeks after Dorman received a shoutout from comedian Dave Chappelle in Netflix’s “Sticks & Stones.” The live special, shot at the Tabernacle in Atlanta and released Aug. 26, was widely panned by critics, including several who deemed some of its jokes racist and transphobic.

But in an addendum to the special, Chappelle spoke about his friendship with a trans woman who he claimed was “laughing the hardest” at his jokes. That woman turned out to be Dorman, whose name and photo appear in the credits of “Sticks & Stones.”

Dorman, a native of Philadelphia, acknowledged her mention in the film on Instagram.

Her Twitter bio identified her as “the Daphne that Dave Chappelle is talking about in ‘Sticks & Stones.’” She also opened for Chappelle at his Sept. 26 performance at the Punch Line in San Francisco.

In addition to her performing career, Dorman worked as a software engineer and until recently held a senior position at Vineti, a software automation and analytics platform, according to the New York Daily News.

They have mental issues on top of mental issues.

Below is a story the "progressive/diversity/kumbya media ain't letting out the bag. The far left pushing this as the 'in' thing to do for the weak minded as normal but there is always another side.

The fact they have buyers remorse proves there is no way they was in their right mind when they went through the process to begin with.

Stats? Right now you've offered only a baseless generalization (and a half hour video).

The point was decisions have consequences. If one person or even a small group has regrets it defeats your blanketed reply.

That's like saying if one man killed himself because he regretted not living his life as a woman, it proves all men should live their lives as women.

One person's reaction or decision cannot be extrapolated to speak for an entire group of people.

I think from the very beginning you misinterpreted my reply. So I will explain. First off as far as Dorman is concerned I never said suicide happened because of regret in Dorman's case. My only point is the trans lifestyle is challenging and stressful. Of course normal people have mental issues and kill themselves everyday also. My point is more of an overall assessment based on my opinion that a snip here, a cut there, and some pills will lead to a new wonderful life, it only leads to new challenges some did not prepare for. Well whether it is fair or not, it is not an emotional reply(not accussing you of being emotional) just an observation on how challenging of a life it can be. I am sick of the media promoting it like it is such a great life style option, but not showing the downside of such decision. I feel that is dangerous and socially irresponsible to not show the downside of trans life. The family rejection, violence, discrimination, and depression they suffer from.

I appreciate the thoughtful response.

I think it's a really tough situation and you will have "downside" among those who transition but also among those who do not. Your statement seems not to account for the difficulty of those who feel so strongly that their body does not fit them that they go out and have a sometimes costly and difficult procedure. In other words, being trans is difficult even before any transition/surgery.

The one thing I really disagree with is "a snip here, a cut there, and some pills... only leads to new challenges some did not prepare for." Do you know a lot of trans people or have you done a lot of reading on case studies. I only know a few and I am not the most informed but it seems pretty ridiculous to me to claim that transitioning only leads to new challenges. I think it's obvious that some people transition and feel like their lives are better for it,

Lastly, do you really think the media promotes changing genders? I think they promote acceptance and understanding but I don't read the media treatment of trans issues as encouraging people to go out and adopt the lifestyle.

I see it a little different from you but of course making a life changing alteration will lead to new challenges. I don't see how it can't. I listed those challenges which I repeat are family rejection, discrimination, victims of violence, and depression. How are those situations not challenges? Before they made the changes their families accepted them, they did not face trans discrimination, and they were not targeted for violence prior to altering their gender. You lost me with that. I agree to disagree with you on the media and the propaganda they push as well. Nothing that is put out there by the media and the forces behind it is not happen stance, you can believe that if you want. Thanks for responding though.

I don't know. Maybe Yoba like the OP and ain't got no love for so-called sellouts. See how the OP went in with his comment before posting the piece. They are very protective over these dudes claiming to be women. To these cats, it's the lgbTq community.

That was funny.

FWIW, I don't know who this Yoba cat you all obsess over even is. You dudes are much more concerned with other men's sexual preferences than I am... For whatever reason.

Cry me a river. I was born black in America. Plus I served in three wars. You want to check out it’s on you. Don’t front, don’t fake. Do it now.

Lol. Why is this on the board. I thought this individual committed suicide because Chappelle was clowning. This isn't the case. I see some deep convos going on in here. Someone is trying to slide this topic into peoples subconscious. Shame.

You reference this individual as a female. Do you know the elements of a human that makes it a female? Uterus, cervix, periods, menopause, XX chromosomes. If the individual does not possess or experience any of the terms listed, it is no female. Cut it out.
