as always it was lack of oversight and long term booking
the Fiend caught on Fire and WWE hotshotted him into the main event without plan
they still want Seth to be champ and they needed to protect the Fiend
real talk he shouldnt have been in the main event picture yet (should've been working his way up the roster) taking out the likes Randy Orton, Braun, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns...then SETH (he should be on a revenge tour not in the title picture right now)

You keep bringing up Cedric & Dream but Cedric put Murphy over in Murphy's hometown in a match that went over 10 minutes. Dream lost to 4 on 1 heel tactics. Injustice is Triple H taking over a minute to pin Booker T & we know what they did to Kofi.
Apollo never should have left NXT. He never had any character development while in NXT and still hasn't had any on main.
Hometowns don't mean SHYT to Vince! White or black. Miz has got squashed in his hometown numerous times, Natalia damn near everytime they're in Canada and don't get me started on Poor Alicia Fox and the shyt she goes through. The Cedric and Dream matches weren't back and forth, they were extremely one sided and in the case of the Dream match it was one sided THEN the 4 on 1
