Ray says the same about Brock brings eyes to the product. They need to have Brock either be there live or film segments twice a month. Kofi has had a longer reign than guys like Batista & Roman combined. Last Reddit post I saw last week he was over 160 days as champion. So for someone that we never expected to even be in their position I gotta say he over shot expections. I gave him until SS.

Kofi already passed Flair, Jericho, Guerrero, Edge, Miz in days with the WWE Title. He should pass Mahal (which was also a surprise with how long he held it) by next week.

About two weeks and he passes Sheamus.

Another month and he'll pass Bryan, Rollins, Undertaker and will be at number 21 in the longest reigns/days with the title, just under JBL, Yokozuna and Ultimate Warrior.

Much respect to him, he's done well with it.

Thing is though a lot of those guys had multiple world title reigns. Kofi will never get it again once he loses it. He'll be bumped back down to tag team. You wanna make it interesting, have him snap. Hell have the whole New Day snap. Kofi gets close to losing the title to Brock he hits the F5 and Big E and XW hit the ring and go to town on Lesnar with a chair. Kofi gets up sees what happened acts shocked like he can't believe it. When Brock gets back to his feet Trouble in Paradise his ass. Kofi takes the chair wear his ass out and they put Brock thru a table. Fans already tired of Brock and it doesn't make New Day heel just gives them an edge, which they need.

Some fans are tired of Brock, but he is money, and will bring in numbers. It's a smart business move.

As far as the guys who have had runs, I don't even think a lot of those guys are complaining. Hell, Miz got his WWE title run, too soon. Since then, he's gotten more over as the perennial Intercontinental Champion, and has gotten over so much with the IC, he doesn't even need another WWE Championship run.

Brock doesn't need the title either, he's a "beast" with or without the title, but WWE needs to sell tickets.

And as much merchandise New Day/Kofi sells, from a business standpoint, I'd put my money on Brock over Kofi. Especially with a new TV deal on FOX looming.

They are going to want known names to bring in casual viewers. People know Brock. People don't know Kofi.

As far as New Day snapping, no one would buy that. I know I wouldn't. Unfortunately, they have shucked and jived too much to ever be taken as a serious threat.

Kofi had a good run, but his run is more than likely coming to an end. Whether he falls out of the title picture remains to be seen, but he's had a really good run.

I think them snapping would work. They need an edge, especially with someone like Brock. Nobody sees it coming. Everything points to Brock rolling thru Kofi, for the reasons you said. So don't make it simple. Dash and Dawson basically tortured XW for the titles. Do them too. But with there being a draft, they might just move em to Raw after Brock wins.

I thought about this, too. But I think it would make him look weak, and Heyman would have to go in on him for that and then he would be forced into a situation where he NEEDS to beat him clean to redeem himself.

The edge would need to come from him losing and then going extreme to beat him like Seth did with the chairs and the low blows. It already kinda goes with how he spazzed versus Orton with the race car.

Makes sense but I don't see them giving Kofi another reign. It's why I say do it now. Heyman is great at talking, so put hands on him too. Faces have little to no edge nowadays. This is needed because who thinks Kofi stands a chance?

I agree, New Day needs an edge, but it just wouldn't be believable at this point.
The bad-ass looking Big E from when he was AJ Lee's bodyguard is long gone.
Even just a couple of weeks ago when Big E was supposed to be pissed after Xavier was attacked by Orton and The Revival, he still couldn't help himself and slapped Orton's ass during the match. :smh:

Looks like Kylie Rae made her return to wrestling for a indy promotion last night. Someone had recorded her ring entrance with their cellphone and she looks very healthy. Makes me wonder what really went down between her and AEW.

-- As noted before, WWE is revamping their Raw and Smackdown rosters imminently, with wrestlers participating in a draft to separate the two brands while also changing the announcing structure - reportedly by transitioning to two-man booths and having commentators stay exclusive to a brand. According to @WrestleVotes, another change that is actually going to go into effect soon is an update of the entrance stage with both Raw and Smackdown getting "updated, fresh" set. Next week's shows are expected to be the last two shows with the old set with Raw relaunching on September 30 and Smackdown a few nights later on October 4. WWE has already begun promoting the 9/30 Raw as a "season premiere" (even though the telecast runs throughout the year with new episodes) while the 10/4 Smackdown is of course the FOX debut while doubling up as the show's 20th Anniversary too.

Yea Kofi is done. New Day snapping and being heels again could work but Vince is all about guaranteed rating numbers. Brock does that unfortunately. I can't believe that so many white fans feel that Kofi is boring and want Brock or Orton as champ. I would love for them to go back to being arrogant smart ass heels. I can see why they don't take us seriously though. People don't know what they want honestly.

Heard a rumor she wanted to settle down and have kids but it really don't make sense.

Damn, good on Kofi, but what the stats are saying?

It's like when WWE was pimping CM Punk's "modern day record" for longest reign(it's not a record at all just marketing as Hulk Hogan still really owns that record since he ushered in the new WM age after beating Iron Sheik in 84), but his reign not having the same appeal or importance as say Steve Austin's reign of April - June 98.

Not a good look for your baby face to be cowering in fear.

Never. Even when Taker put Ultimate Warrior in the casket he only was perplexed for a while but he pinned Taker many times. Seth acting like a Freddy victim is not a good look at all.
