"siding with" is two words idiot. And it was two words of a 20 word sentence that clearly articulated a point. It was also preceded by these two words "finds himself".. "Finds himself" implies that there was in fact NO choosing you fucking moron.

Again fam, I didn't take that as the message being put-forth so I can’t make that assessment. We’re seeing one message through two different lenses.

I was surprised this was a January event. I thought it was something more recent.
To be fair, I think the NFL deal and how Jay handled the press conference made people look at the totality of all his statements both current and past.
Jay is definitely playing a long game of some sort (probably NFL ownership). We will have to wait and see if the black power movement will get any benefit out of this.

I know your personal belief is that the whole NFL protest thing is stupid. However, I feel that you are refusing to see the big picture about why some people don't like this deal.
Jay Z got this job because people won't shut up about Colin. If there was no Colin, there would be no Jay Z producing gig, period. You have NFL fans clamoring for the return of Colin to the NFL, yet you have owners pretty much telling folks that they can't appease the black fans, because the white fans will be offended. Then they say Colin sucks, yet you see plenty of shitty white quarterbacks getting full time gigs. Instead of giving Colin a chance to fuck up, they decide to keep him out the league and give Jay Z a job instead. NFL bringing in Jay Z shows they are having a problem with ignoring the fans who want to see Colin play. The fact they chose to do this shows that the NFL teams are feeling pressure from somewhere to get this Colin issue to go away. To me, this proves that the NFL is taking some sort of hit over the Colin thing.
To be honest, we will never know if all 32 teams really wanted to keep him out of the NFL. Is is the possibility a couple of teams would have given him a chance, if the collective would have allowed it.
As to your other point, no one talks about the NFL pledging to give some money to black causes (not sure why). As far as the black power movement is concerned, they should be looking for that check that the NFL promised to write, if nothing else.
As a side note to an earlier point you made, the kneeling thing went away because the NFL and the networks decided to stop airing the anthem during regular season games. I also believe that players are allowed to stay in the locker room when the anthem is played is they so choose (unless you play for the Cowboys..lol). It didn't necessarily flame out like you are suggesting.
Sorry to hear that but we do realize that when people have let another group of people to do the thinking for them for generations and finally some people begin to think for themselves then it would sound strange. Looking at when this was done in January and the fact that Jay-Z was getting acts to not to play the halftime show seems to go along with this more than anything. The NFL owners don't care about Colin as much as they care about not being able to find acts who will perform. That showed that Jay-Z was the one that had the power in the music industry and they know that they couldn't get away with having country acts or going to Maroon 5 especially considering that so many Black Acts turned them down. Remember now, they wanted to do an entire Atlanta set, but Jay was like "Nah" so they couldn't do that. Earlier in a clip, Van Jones said nothing these movements would have moved forward without "art", while this is partially true, the bus boycott started hitting people in the pockets and the only thing the people in power see is green. These bus companies started losing money so they went to the legislators and said "nah, yall gotta fix this"...this is why Colin is not in the league, because the people that say they dont want him in the league have more power(economically) than the people that do..it basically comes down to money
