Two reasons.
Dwight, for as fruity at he is, was tough and borderline dirty in his prime. I've seen him literally hurt DWade for trying to slam on him.
Kobe played tough guy but he picked his opponents carefully. He was fucking with Raja Bell with elbows but when Raja clotheslined him, he didn't rush up to fight.
Not to say Kobe wouldn't fight, he fought Shaq in practice. However the legend of Kobe is very different than the reality. Suing your mom is not a tough guy move.
