The "Squad" speaks, Daaamn gurl, tell him how you really feel Ilhan...MSNBC didn't bleep shit

I wouldn’t want to get behind Trump or these four nut bags.

One labels herself as a radical socialist.

The other dismisses 9/11 as “some
people did something”
.

You just quoted a Republican talking point fam.... and Repubs quote it out of context..

took me 2 minutes to find this.

In context: ‘Some people did something’
By Angie Drobnic Holan on Sunday, April 14th, 2019 at 6:47 p.m.

President Donald Trump, other Republicans and the New York Post have seized on a line from a speech given by U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., several weeks ago that they say diminishes 9/11.

Omar was speaking about discrimination faced by Muslims and their responsibility to stand up for their own rights. She spoke on March 23, 2019, at the Council of American-Islamic Relations of Greater Los Angeles' fourth annual Valley Banquet in Woodland Hills, California. The line — that CAIR "recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties" — is about two-thirds of the way into the speech.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2019/apr/14/context-some-people-did-something/

CAIR was actually founded in 1994 but the meaning behind the quote is legit.

"But no matter how much we have tried to be the best neighbor, people have always worked on finding a way to not allow for every single civil liberty to be extended to us. (Aside) You can clap for that. So the truth is you can go to school and be a good student. You can listen to your dad and mom and become a doctor. You can have that beautiful wedding that makes Mom and Dad happy. You can buy that beautiful house. But none of that stuff matters if you one day show up to the hospital, and your wife, or maybe yourself, is having a baby and you can't have the access that you need because someone doesn’t recognize you as fully human. It doesn't matter how good you were if you can't have your prayer mat and take your 15-minute break to go pray in a country that was founded on religious liberty.

"No matter how good you are, if you one day find yourself in a school where other religions are talked about, but when Islam is mentioned, we are only talking about terrorists and if you say something you are sent to the principal's office.

"So to me, I say, raise hell, make people uncomfortable. Because here's the truth: For too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen, and, frankly, I'm tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it.

"CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. So you can't just say that today someone is looking at me strange, that I am going to try to make myself look pleasant. You have to say this person is looking at me strange, I am not comfortable with it, I am going to go talk to them and ask them why. Because that is a right you have. (Editor's note: CAIR was actually founded in 1994.)

"So there are, there are people, and Hassan (Hassan Shibly, executive director of CAIR Florida, spoke the same evening) is on the right track, it's always good, right? I say you can't hate up close. You can't hate up close. Anytime you have an opportunity to go talk to someone, the chances of them hating you lessens. So that is a practice we should all adopt."

."
That’s not quoted out of context fam.
That’s what she said verbatim as part of her speech.

No American let alone an elected official with a stitch of common sense would EVER ever flippantly refer to 9/11 in that phraseology.

Not when 5,000+ people died and the body count continues to rise as first responders die off from toxic inhalation related illness and substances.

If some white guy refered to the assaination of MLK as “... some guy who did something.” Black America would have their blood boiling.

No dear, you never refer to 9/11 in those terms. And if she was too young to remember, or doesn’t know better, she sure as hell does now.

And for the record, this is not the only slanderous, inflammatory or bigoted thing she said - or did you forget her quips against Jews and Israel or the US military?

So for her to suddenly play high post and piuous, I found hypocritical. But I get it, she felt insulted.

Did dude say they are "pro Al-Qaeda".... Jesus Chrust...

Look at this Fox headline:

Watch: Ilhan Omar delivers heated, profanity-laced attack on President Trump

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/watch-omar-trump-ocasio-cortez-attack
"This is a president who has said 'grab women by the p----,'" she said. "This is a president who has called black athletes 'sons of b----es.' This is a president who has called people who come from black and brown countries 'sh--holes.' This is a president who has equated neo-Nazis with those who protest against them in Charlottesville."

So she delivered a profanity-laced attack by quoting the President verbatim and in context? :smh::curse:

This shit is Orwellian...

I don't understand why it's so hard for Dems to use Trump's words/Tweets against him. Just say the same thing he's saying about you back at him.

The ladies didn't bring their A game either, but the B game was still very effective.

Man... I dont know what you malfunction is, or your agenda.. But you've been treading some thin ice and saying some very inane shit. This one here though, kinda takes the cake.

The sad irony is you're criticizing a persons context and phraseology , while making a patently stupid MLK comp.

Man, your whole setup is seeming eerily similar to when whiteboytex went all nazi when Obama won 8 years ago.

Very weird shit man.

Who did you vote for?

:hmm:
The last election was a tale of two cities.
An odiferous bag of excrement vs. a slimy corrupt power grabbing weasel.

I’ll let you figure out who is who.

I found neither of the two viable candidates fit for service and abstained. Neither earned my vote.

I’m a Centerist but party agnostic. I have no registered party affiliation and do not vote along party lines.

I’ll vote a Democrat for President, Republican for Governor and Independent for County Exec.

If I didn’t vote for you last cycle, you can earn my vote based on solutions and results - not rhetoric.

It is man... Its crazy. I just saw Lady Lindsay in TV in a foaming mouth rant yelling about how these women hate America, Israel (as if US citizens are obligated to Israel), Democracy..etc. This shit is insane!

Holy shit this cat is a dickbag lmao

Who blew the fucking bgol troll whistle?

I’m not sure, but I heard you blow dudes through a gloryhole at the YMCA.

It’s ironic, you call me a troll and yet you follow me into every thread and quote me.

Have I neglected you, son? You need a hug from me or something? I’m sorry, sweet pea. You can get a pat on the head and attaboy. Feel better?

Heist...you on some bullshit.

Folks like you are why Trump is in office.

Your vote is to keep people out of office as much as putting people in.

You failed all of us.

Bruh. Stop it. I’m very clear spoken.
If you don’t like my views, you can put me on ignore.

But to sit here and listen to at least 2 nutty chicks who insult the US military, call themselves radicals and socialists, then whine and prattle on about feeling insulted after they spent their entire campaign and most of their time in office insulting the person who insulted them - well, if you can’t take it, don’t dish, precious snowflakes.

Punch someone in the arm long enough and eventually someone smacks you back. And they don’t have to wait for a time that’s convenient or after you start again. That’s how life works.

I just posted the exact quote from her speech... with the full sentence.

Again her quote was:

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. So you can't just say that today someone is looking at me strange, that I am going to try to make myself look pleasant. She was wrong about when it was founded but her point was that some Muslims did something and as a result of their actions.. all Muslims were starting to lose access to their civil liberties... CAIR was set up to prevent actions like that from continuing.

That is an accurate statement.....

She also gave this speech at an American Islamic event... in a room Full of people who were also Muslim.

You are hanging on to one phrase in a speech whose main point was about the prejudices that Muslims face today. And even in that phrase... she did not say 9/11 committed by some people doing something... she was using it refer to the purpose of Chair.

That’s like two different things... If she said “I believe personally that 9/11 was an act committed by some people (not Muslims) who were doing something (not blowing up buildings) then we would have a different story.

I’m not being high and mighty... I’m just stating facts. You have to look at the context of this phrase. I think it’s pretty clear when you read the transcript.

You failed yourself if that’s how you wish to waste your vote.

I don’t conform to your morals. I don’t believe in picking a bag of shit over another bag of shit. That’s how Republics rot.

Be courageous. Say send them back and find me another. None of them are fit for duty.

Additionally my vote wouldn’t have mattered. The Democrats lost the race because they did not win enough electoral votes in middle state.

The popular vote means nothing in terms of electing a president-only the electoral college vote, and I reside in a Blue state.

She refused to say radical Muslims ...
Instead it’s the softening language of “some people who did something.”

And this is not her first time traipsing around the “RM” word.

I don’t care what the event was. She could’ve been speaking before the Mary Poppins knitting club.

As I said, if Mitch McConnell referred to James Ray as “... a guy who did something.”
You know that would absolutely not fly with black people.

Be honest.

You can't make this fuckin shit up. These muthafuckas man.....

I’m behind these women 100%. This is the importance of voting.

We need to grow their numbers into the 30+ to give them real power.

Like I said...you on that bullshit.

Anyone who says "my votes wouldn't have mattered" is lying to make themselves look or feel better.

You ain't got to say shit else to me about this.

He has been a Trump supporter for awhile now
Well I didn’t vote for Trump. As I said above I abstained.

But I do at times find his straightforward candor refreshing. You’ll never not know what’s on his mind, for better or for worse.

Nonetheless, like any president, some policies I agree with-others I think are bat shit insane and vehemently disagree with.

Is he the best president, hardly. But he has been the best POTUS at getting the American citizenry to wake the hell up and pay closer attention to the federal government, and reinforcing the importance of presenting and supporting the right candidate.

Bruh. Stop it. I’m very clear spoken.
Not really man. You largely speak in platitudes and campaign slogans as of late. You type alot but dont really say much. Its like a cheap rightwing monologue trying to pass itself off as "centrist" and "objective". Its weird man.
If you don’t like my views, you can put me on ignore.
No thank you. I find it mildly entertaining but have noticed it seems to be getting progressively worse. Also, i only ignore FTP's. You arent a tranny posting fagget are you? Lemme know.

See what i mean... "snowflakes", "nutty chicks"... You speak like a angry white douchebag. I just dont recall you being this way out there. :dunno:

You ain't got to say shit else to me about this.

My vote matters to me. That’s all that matters. Your vote matters to you. That’s all that matters. You have no greater right to tell me how to use or not use my rights and property, then I have to tell you how to use or not use your rights and property

We shall speak no further on this topic.

Not really man. You largely speak in platitudes and campaign slogans as of late. You type alot but dont really say much. Its like a cheap rightwing monologue trying to pass itself off as "centrist" and "objective". Its weird man.
Tell me, what’s your position then. The Dems are sparkingly gems who can no wrong?
Their platform policy is absoluty the right way to go.
Everything they say is glorious.

You’re quick to harbor me as a “white diuchebag” but haven’t yet laid out your positions and stances.

So here’s your opportunity to be brave versus sniping and taking pot shots at me.

See what i mean... "snowflakes", "nutty chicks"... You speak like a angry white douchebag. I just dont recall you being this way out there. :dunno:
Snowflake is grunt lingo. Hang around enough military and ex-military and their lexicon begins to fold into your verbal palette.
Not to mention it’s fun - it catches some people off angle. They’re expecting the same queue of black insults, and you throw an off angle one at them. They get rankled twice as much.

And when did nutty chicks become the province of white people? Nutty bitches, nutty brauds, nutty chicks are a declination of the same sentiment - but I don’t think bitches is appropriate for the sisters. They haven’t earned that level of disrespect from me yet.

They’re just chicks at this point. But AOC may be elevated at some future point.

Yeah if Mitch said... Ray was a guy who did something ... you Damn right.

As a black person I would be mad if that was all he said.

But she said

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

She was clearly talking about CAIR being founded because some of us did something and all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.

That’s two different things....

Plus chick still clearly has an accent and English isn’t her first language.. but you clearly tell what she was trying to say...

If you look at the rest of the speech.. this is what she meant..

Yet repubs are pointing to one phrase. And yes she has said shit that I don’t agree with.. but I’m not going to let Kats come make an issue because they refuse to see actual truth before their eyes.

I’m not sure, but I heard you blow dudes through a gloryhole at the YMCA.

I just enjoy roasting bitch ass niggas wherever I encounter them and I happen to be encountering you in multiple threads.

Self importance ain't importance lol nobody gaf about you like that to chase you around no message board you gotdamn dummy.
