What I am seeing is that there is really a huge divide between people who listen exclusively to the old black media/main stream media and those who listen to NEW BLACK MEDIA.
It reminds me of "birtherism". It turning a black candidate into "not one of us". I've grown up with black people who might have had a similar lineage as her but had a really similar experience as me. Kamala's stance on reparations doesn't have shit to do with that. It's just not her value system. Kill her on his lack of a stance on the issue...not because of her lineage. You can have a ADOS candidate who also doesn't believe in the ADOS agenda. Focusing her being of Indian and Jamaican decent is silly. You might get a candidate in the future that's of Indian + Jamaican decent that might be your best advocate. Kamala just isn't it.
Kamala being a prosecutor and some of her other views are more disqualifying that her ethnicity in my opinion. Yall can have at it though. I think it's a bad way to make the argument.
And I don't believe Kamala is co-opting anything. I know so many black people (specifically parents born in the U.S.) who are clones of her. Her lineage isn't the problem.

Black votes. The new "poll tax" in Florida is specifically designed to keep black people from voting. That's really not even debatable. The group most impacted by it is black people and it's part of a consistent machine to strip black from voting. It's race-based disguised as politics.
There are heavily white-populated dem districts that don't receive the same type of systemic targeting. They could have an equal bang for the buck, but they target black voters. The core of their targeting is race. Them being democrats too is an ancillary benefit.

Democrats aren't losing the black vote. All you had was a surge for Obama (which is kind of obvious why) and it's been consistent. You have to understand that I post shit like this all the time on BGOL so I actually know the data.
What you're saying (though gerrymandering, voter suppression, etc) is the GOP trying to make black votes less meaningful. However, in totality, the same percentage of black people are voting and they're voting for Democrats. That's not changed in any significant way.
