Magic Johnson just quit

So he didn't want to get rid of Rob, he wanted to get rid of Luke who they got rid of anyway. :smh:

tell me about it

This is insane.

I can't believe it but i think Jennie being a woman in this day and time is PROTECTING her from real criticism.

None of this makes sense.

And i believe every word Magic said on First Take...

I fo not AGREE with everything

But i think he told the honest truth.

And the screwing up the Ty Lue hire was the evidence

Plus Rob and Kobe

The Rambi...

The 2 other Buss boys

The backstabbing on all levels.

Jeanie has known Magic for over 35 years. She's worked with Rob for 2 years but yet she chooses Rob over Magic. Why?

1. Jeanie is a weak businesswoman with no previous experience so she can't make a decision on her own and that's why Rambis' wife and Tim Harris two people that have nothing to do with basketball are in on basketball decisions.

2. Rob is smashing Jeanie.

You will never ever hear that level of criticism directed at Jeanie in this #metoo era, which should be offensive to women everywhere.

Cause they been slick talking around it calling her "emotional" "too trusting" " sensitive" etc.

The bolded part is the real story

When is a woman ever a better leader than a man when it comes to running a sports franchise?

When Jim Buss was failing as the Lakers managing owner, people just knew “Jeannie Bush was the mastermind” behind any modicum of success they had.

Now that Jeannie Buss is in the top spot and the team is even worse, who will people blame?

The stans’ king also has heavy influence behind the scenes but will never come out front like Magic did and you know why? Because he’d have his name attached to an even bigger shit show.

The team’s only hope is LeBron is able to recruit heavily in the offseason, bring in another superstar, and return healthy to next season or the Lakers will have another off season in the lottery.

Yeah, Rob has to be smashing. Shit is a mess.

Maybe we get Beal but keep BI and get Butler. That would be at least a 3rd seed in the west. I just don't know how Beal will translate in the west. He might get exposed. :dunno:

LeBron would have Klay Thompson among the league leaders in scoring.

Get him and package for Anthony Davis and they’re in the Finals next year.

They still need a bench. Bron can't play 40 minutes a night and have anything left for the playoffs. Is he willing to rest, or does he want the stats? Give Bron AD, Klay a decent bench and 20 games off and I could see it.

We will see.

Or maybe Magic was not qualified to be president? Sure he was a great basketball player but that's not qualification enough to run a team.

Actually she has know Rob since 2003/2004 when he became Kobe's agent...

If the Lakers get another great player, they're going to have to trade for him. What FA wants to go there?

My disgust began with Shannon's giggle at the 42 second mark. A minute later, I'd had all I could take.

His fangirling for LeBron is the worst thing on TV. He legitimately seems smitten. Every day, they talk about LeBron and he launches into this routine like he's a school girl and his crush's name just came up at a slumber party.

I don't know how I click these clips and expect anything but this. But I just realized that I think Skip's monster is even worse than Skip. There just is not a worse possible pairing. Never again will I click on the Ambiguously Sports Duo's role playing.

I was waiting for criticism of her, but all I saw was she didn't show up :hmm:

Some thoughts

The way they made this seem when Magic first resigned they made it seem a lot worse. They made it seem like Magic was quitting because of this scathing ESPN article that was coming. You would think the Lakers front office was like the Mavericks.

Like Magic was on some me too shit. They didn't even give good examples of him being a dictator. How are you scared of someone who you're saying barely shows up? And the one anxiety example because her job was threatened. She fucked up. And the article didn't give quotes.

The Rob Pelinka shit is a joke

The Rich Paul shit. :smh: They're talking about the plane, but they're saying he's shitting on Luke to people and going to practices and in the locker room

I always wondered about the KCP stuff, but that was a Detroit Piston situation. He wasn't on the Lakers. Did they punish him?

So essentially Rob drafted Wagner because of Michigan ties over Spellman. The writer tried to throw Josh Hart under the bus...but then went back and gave his side later. Which didn't make any sense to me. Concerns over his weight? It was common knowledge when he was a redshirt freshman.

Neither Rob or Magic should have been hired and Jeanie is the problem.

ha, option 2 was my first thought after reading that article. rob staying has to be an emotional one because it doesn't make sense logically. why would she be emotionally tied when she's bold enough to fire her brother? hmm....
