He just never regained that fire he had for Westbrook. He had some decent stats in the series against Denver but he wasn't a factor. He didn't scare anybody. CJ did all the work really. This series, I guess he was hurt but he still didn't seem to have that fire from that OKC series. OKC was enough for him.
Playoffs are all about matchups. Like I keep saying, Portland is a good team but a bad matchup for Golden State. They don't have a 3, 4, or 5 that is consistently going to put pressure on you. They have one player(Nurkic) but he was hurt. How in the hell can't you take advantage of the Warriors missing their entire frontcourt and at least get ONE damn win at home. Iggy out, Durant out, Boogie out. Say what you want but those "Chicken Nuggets" would've at least got a game or two. Unlike Portland, we have a good front court. Matter of a fact, our best player is in the frontcourt. When the Nuggets choked, I knew there would be a sweep. Matter of a fact I'm glad it was lol.

Now onto the game. No Durant and Boogie is key in my statement. The Warriors win that backcourt matchup with every team. Denver has a better bench and I think most would agree that has actually WATCHED both teams and not just the Warriors. They didn’t show up for a few games which is why they got eliminated. One good game from Torrey Craig at the 3 and that’s a win or two. Blazers didn’t have any production from their 3,4, or 5. Their bench didn’t show up at all. Nuggets don’t have that problem
Like I said, Blazers got all the breaks(Iggy going down). No way they should’ve gotten swept. Fuck a “playoff mode”. Blazers just didn’t have the personnel. They needed Dame and CJ to play lights out. Denver is more balanced. They could have Murray and/or Harris play terrible but they would have others to lean on to get them a win. Give Denver that same luck and they’re grabbing a win or 2. My prediction was 4-2 Golden State.
