NBA 2018-2019 playoffs thread...finals is set..”Warriors vs Raptors 2-4” Raptors win the title!!!

Look the 73 win team choked the greatest in all sports. That year it was all lined up with no injuries and Cleveland won. The next year they grabbed a mvp and won 2 straight.

Straight up public enemies John Dillinger style.

I never looked at it like that but you are exactly right.

That move he did on PJ was legit and clutch.

Completely agree

One person on FS1 pointed it out. They said take LeBron off of the 2016 Cavs team and replace him with Kd. They wouldn't have won the chip.

The team sucked, they would have had to play KD every second of the game because they second he goes to the bench they would be down 10 to 20 points.

The comparison isn’t even close because Durant is a shooter, that’s his main job, so on the Cavs he would’ve been a scorer and other players would’ve had to take over the rebounding, defensive and assisting responsibilities. On those Cavs teams Lebron was there everything, scorer, rebounder, assist, defender, I think he either led or was second on the team in all those categories.

Question..replace Kyrie with Lowry or Cp3 or Russ. Do you think they still win chip?

Yes I believe they would have, Kyrie is a good player but he is not this great player they are making him out to be. He was with the Cavs before Lebron got there and the team sucked, this year with the Celtics and all that talent they had they just got beat 4-1 and Kyrie showed up small

I think if the Cavs had kept D. Wade and Isiah Thomas they would’ve won the championship last year because all Lebron needs is a second true scorer that can get his own shot like he had with Kyrie and Dwayne Wade. That Cavs team where he drives in and then kicks it out for a player to hit a OPEN SHOT was never gonna win anything

I feel everything u said except the last year. A lot of things went right for Cleveland for them to win that chip; none of that shit happened in the preceding finals and they were easily dismantled.....

Game 1 turned out to be the most important game of last years Finals. That fuck up by JR Smith at the end ruined any chance the Cavs had at making it a respectable series. The way Lebron played in a Game 1, if they had won it may have made the series worth watching

Harden scored 12 points in the last 8 minutes of the game. The bench & Capela shit the bed last night while GS bench feasted. CP3 played his only best game of the series last night. If he had half this output in game 5 the series would be different.

The real question is why did GS bench play well and Houston didn't? Why did Capela play like ass? He sure didn't play that way in the previous series. Mofos love throwing out ancillary numbers without making sense of them .......

I feel ya but I highly doubt it. Best case would have been the same result as the year before.....

What do you chalk it up to? GS bench certainly outperformed my expectations -- I'm not sure that aspect of it wasn't a fluke.

Iggy can't start anymore
He plays like this now cause for the season he sits out most games and plays like 15 minutes max lol

That's why he's fresh at this point same with Livingston

If they played starter or even deep reserve minutes during the course of the season they'd be toast right now

And without kd the ball has no choice but to move more
That's on Kerr

The offense could and should and at times is the exact same way

But when kd is there they don't let curry run point get trapped and open up the offense which makes no sense

When they do run the offense as if KD wasn't there while he's on the court that's when they drop 140+ points

That's just coaching
Ok I mean his skill set. Iggy skill set is that if a starter level. Whether or not he can play 40 minutes a night I don’t know but I wouldn’t put it past him as the 5th option on the team:

It wasn’t even about the bench, the 4th quarter both teams had a chance to win but STEPH and KLAY happened. When they get in a rhythm like they ddI last night and have did plenty times before no team is going to beat them
