The only way this could have been better would be to have Ned Stark be undead but not bad undead like Benjen Stark save Sansa in the crypt. Innanets would be done.
So I guess we'll never really know what them damn spirals meant neither.
I don't understand why the Dragon Glass weapons and the Valerian Steel swords didn't decimate the muhfuckas during the battle like they did before. I'd expected white walkers to be shattering like bags of ice all over the place in chain reactions. The Night King and his henchmen didn’t need to engage in combat because the forces at Winterfell could barely survive the HORDE of dead wights. They would have to get though all those dead soldiers first. Before going hand-to-Hand with any Generals. Or the Commander himself.
Plus, the Night King survived an aerial battle against 2 dragons at the same time.... then survived dragons flames. This dude was using Heavy Artillery. He’s fighting with Flying Tanks. And taking Tank Shells to the chest.... but you seem to think he was ‘easy to kill’.
C’mon man.![]()
I have to go back and watch the episode again but 2 things:
1) Did Arya many-face-gawd one of the white walker lieutenants in order to creep up on the night King?
I think it only works on Whytes like that. Not the resurrected dead.I don't understand why the Dragon Glass weapons and the Valerian Steel swords didn't decimate the muhfuckas during the battle like they did before. Just a part of the spell that created the white walkers. In a bigger sense.... The spiral is a representation of balance, contrasts meeting in the middle. Ice and Fire. The night king was made in the middle of the spiral.Danny and Jon each had moments in the middle of the spiral (dany when she freed all the colored folks (smmfh) and Jon when he was being squeezed to death in the battle of the bastards. So I guess we'll never really know what them damn spirals meant neither.
I can dig it.Just a part of the spell that created the white walkers. In a bigger sense.... The spiral is a representation of balance, contrasts meeting in the middle. Ice and Fire. Arya went from wrecking shop like it's nothing
To fucking hiding like in a scary movie
To jumping out of the bushes and beating the final boss like Super Mario
This kind of foolish bravery is par-for-the-course with Jon. Charging after Ramsay only to face a whole cavalry, charging after the Night King only to face an army of undead, and then squaring up to a dragon!
I have a 4K and had the same problems. Was switching from "Vivid" to "Cinema" to "HDR" depending on the scene. I know people will be talking about this tomorrow.
I can dig it.
I'm just taking a cheap shot at the YouTubers, the knowitalls talking about the spirals are going to reveal this and that and we're going to find out that the Knight King is a Stark blah blah blah. lol
Watched the 1st time on a Mitsubishi Diamondvision HDTV rear Projection set. No issues with the darkness. Watched a second time on a 4k Samsung LCD MU6300. This time I streamed from HBO GO. Bottom line The night scenes were better on my old CRT set simply because LCD can't really show true Blacks. Its a Transmissive Technology not and Emissive. OLED, Plasma, and CRT are and were the best at that sort of thing. The other reason why dark scenes look poor on cable feeds is the compression of the signal. You'll see a lot of artifacts on some cable systems. This isn't true on Fios and satellite systems although those signals are compressed as well. Streaming provides the best picture although not as good as Packaged media (Bluray/UHD Bluray). No matter what TV you have you must calibrate it to get the best overall picture. I have an OLED waiting in the wings to replace my CRT set. IMHO it was the only worthy technology. All my sets are calibrated.
Lyanna said look is someone going to do something about this FORKING GIANT OVER HERE OR NAH?
NAH
ok I GOT IT
