Get ready to see a lot more of Noah Centineo. According to Variety, Sony was so keen to keep the actor on hand after his work on the new Charlie’s Angels movie that they’re trying to snatch him right up again for the Masters of the Universe reboot. The internet boyfriendand To All The Boys I’ve Loved Beforestar is in talks for the role of He-Man, the super-strong protector of Eternia, carrier of a big sword, and wearer of a harness on his chest with no shirt underneath. In the original live-action movie from 1987, He-Man was played by Dolph Lundgren, and they even managed to secure Frank Langella to play his nemesis, Skeletor. Hopefully the new film will also score a seasoned, vaunted thespian to play opposite the ascendent heartthrob.

Noah Centineo may soon have the power of Grayskull.

The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before heartthrob is in talks to play the legendary He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, EW has learned. Sony and Mattel Films are overseeing the project, which will be based on the classic Mattel toys that spawned the totally ’80s animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. (A 1987 live-action film starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and also starring Courteney Cox was met with less enthusiasm.)

A new Masters of the Universe film has long been in the works, and at one point, McG was attached to direct the tale of Eternia’s Prince Adam, who transforms into a mighty warrior with help from his magic sword. Adam and Aaron Nee are now directing the film and co-writing the new screenplay with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. (David S. Goyer wrote the previous draft of the screenplay.) Sony had no comment.

Centineo made waves last year as the charming Peter Kavinsky in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and he’ll soon be starring in a sequel, as well as the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot.

The only question is: How is he going to pull off that haircut?

I think they mean not trying to go super serious...

Guardians was able to be legit sci fi action humor and drama.

No silly. But not Shakespeare.

I think that is the best way to do that.

Not Shazam (which this could EASILY be in a bad way) more Antman.
Say what you want about the 87 version... Skeletor had an epic speech..we need this type seriousness

THIS!

Frank Langellan is one of the greats. That man’s voice just owned the screen.

“KNEEL BEFORE YOUR MASTER!”

This Noah kid is a big husky dude waiting to bust out that awkward looking body. Chris Evans was the same way. Put Ryan Reynolds in that category too. He said that he was always in pain but wanted to look right, standing next to Wesley Snipes so he had to work his ass off to get his body right.

This might be good casting.

Not sure they got the concept down because it should be similar to what the first Thor did. That mix of highly advanced and organic science that gives way to what we perceive as magic. I don’t think people really give that film the due it deserves for allowing the whole MCU to happen simply because of it. This is the direction they need to go.

Thor Ragnarok simply redid the story and did it bolder but the comedy, the science, the magic and the cosmic authority of the main players is all there from the first film. Taiko was a genius in simply finishing what Brannagh started to appease the masses.

Was it too silly? Yes. But if they toned that shit down a bit, it would have been masterful.

if skeletor isn't throwing shade i'm not watching...

Right!
I could give a shit less who is playing He-Man. The most important character to get right is Skeletor. If the voice ain't right and he ain't talking mad shit then this movie is a fail.

If dude is up to it have him do voiceover work. Any muscle bound idiot with a skull mask on can do the physical part.
