For the second time in recent weeks, Portland protest leader Micah Isaiah Rhodes stood before an Oregon judge ready to go to prison for having sexual contact with an underage teen.

And for the second time, an Oregon judge agreed to veer from state sentencing recommendations and give Rhodes five years of probation.

Multnomah County Circuit Judge Jerry Hodson on Monday said he wouldn’t send Rhodes to prison for two to 2 ½ years because he believes Rhodes earnestly is trying to change despite the prosecution's arguments to the contrary.

“I can tell that you’re sincere and I can tell that you’ve grown a lot over the last couple of years,” Hodson said as Rhodes wiped away tears.

Rhodes was 20 and 21 at the time of his crimes, in 2014 and 2015.

In March, Rhodes pleaded guilty to two counts of felony second-degree sexual abuse for at least twice having sexual contact with a 17-year-old boy. Investigators say Rhodes met the boy on a gay dating app, and the contact happened in Gresham and Troutdale.

Days earlier, a Washington County jury had found Rhodes guilty of second-degree sexual abuse of a 17-year-old girl. A defense memo said the contact happened after the girl went to watch a movie with Rhodes at his mother's house.

Oregon law says it's a crime for an adult to have sexual contact with a minor if there are three or more years in age difference between the two.

Age of consent laws vary from state to state, with most states allowing 16- or 17- year-olds to have sexual contact with adults. Oregon is one of about a dozen states that sets the age of consent at 18. Washington state sets the age at 16.

Rhodes, now 24, was a leader of the protest group Portland’s Resistance, which rose to prominence after Donald Trump won the presidential election in November 2016. The group helped organize day after day of marches and rallies against Trump.

Before then, Rhodes was part of Portland’s activist scene and a familiar face at Portland City Council meetings. In 2016, he helped stage a camp-out in front of then-Mayor Charlie Hales’ home.

Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Bumjoon Park said his office often seeks probation for defendants found guilty of the same crimes as Rhodes, but he argued that Rhodes should go to prison for about two years.

He cited Rhodes' history of sexually victimizing children, his unwillingness to follow rules and his inability to change even after attending sex offender treatment programs three times.

Park said Rhodes as a teenager had been convicted in the youth court system of first-degree sodomy and sexual abuse. When Rhodes was about 14, he sexually abused a 9-year-old boy and when he was 15, he sexually abused three boys, Park said.

Rhodes also has a concerning track record of ignoring rules by “repeatedly sexually acting out” with his peers when he was told not to and later having contact with minors when he was forbidden from doing so by his probation, the prosecutor said.

Rhodes is almost four years older than both of the victims in the Multnomah County and Washington County cases, Park noted.

In the past, Rhodes had a “secret cellphone,” went out to bars and clubs and had a substance abuse problem that included meth, Park said.

“Frankly, he doesn’t respect the authority of the courts,” Park said. “... He simply must not believe that having sex with minors is wrong.”

Defense attorney Jon Sarre told the judge that much of what the prosecutor described was Rhodes as “a child.” Rhodes is continuing to “make strides” despite terrible circumstances he faced early in life, Sarre said.

“Mr. Rhodes as a young child was essentially forced into the sex trade,” he said. “This is a person who was repeatedly raped and repeatedly brutalized as a child.”

Rhodes pleaded for probation, telling the judge that he’s committed to following court orders.

“I have atoned for what I’ve done,” Rhodes said. “I’ve acknowledged that I made mistakes. I reported them myself.”

He said he has a new home, a good job and a drive to help people.

“That’s what’s important to me. It’s the only thing that’s important to me,” Rhodes said.

On top of the probation, the judge sentenced Rhodes to sex offender treatment and a provision that he must not have contact with children. Rhodes must register as a sex offender.

As Hodson announced his sentence, Rhodes exhaled audibly and wiped away tears. As Rhodes left the courthouse with a small crowd of supporters, he said he will not return.

"I don't want to be back in this building ever," he said.

Monday’s sentence was similar to that handed down by Washington County Circuit Judge Janelle Wipper about a month ago in Rhodes’ other sex abuse case.

Pedophile Antifa Leader Found Guilty Of Raping Underage Girl

March 12, 2018 Baxter Dmitry News, US 28

antifa-leader-rape-678x381.jpg

ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter leader, Micah Rhodes, has been found guilty of the statutory rape of an underage girl and will be sentenced to prison on Monday.

Rhodes, 24, who received funding from George Soros as part of the Antifa Portland Resistance group, was found guilty by a Washington County Circuit Court jury on Friday.

The girl’s personal details have been withheld to respect her privacy. The jury’s 10-2 verdict came after a 1.5-day trial, according to reports.

Rhodes will be sentenced in May, however he is also scheduled next week to go to trial in Multnomah County Circuit Court in a separate case relating to sex with an underage boy.

Court papers say Rhodes groomed the boy on the internet and the boy wasn’t able to consent because of his age.

Rhodes faces four counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of third-degree sexual abuse.

The Antifa leader was on supervision by the Oregon Youth Authority for sexual abuse and sodomy at the time he was charged for alleged abuse in both counties, authorities say. Juvenile records aren’t public, so details of the earlier case aren’t available.

Rhodes had been required to register as a sex offender at the time he was charged in the Multnomah and Washington county cases, however that didn’t stop Antifa from allowing him to work closely with underage boys and girls.

It also didn’t stop George Soros from pumping millions of dollars into the movement.

As an Antifa leader, Rhodes was frequently seen at marches and sitting in on meetings at Portland City Hall. He also was a leader of Portland’s Resistance, a group that formed after Donald Trump won the presidential election in November 2016.

He helped organize people during night after night of violent and destructive protests immediately after Trump’s victory.

Rhodes is facing as many as five years in prison for the statutory rape of the underage girl if the prosecution successfully argues that Rhodes’ felony was particularly egregious. The court case regarding the accusations of rape of an underage boy begin next week.

It states he was 20 and the victim was 17. In most states this isn't a crime that's why he got probation.

ANTIFA LEADER GUILTY Of Sex Abuse Of UNDERAGE GIRL and BOY In Same Week…Judge IGNORES Sentencing Guidelines…Gives Him Slap On Wrist
Nov 18, 2018

A Multnomah County Circuit Judge ignored sentencing guidelines for a leader of the Antifa terror group in Portland, Oregon, after he was found guilty of two counts of felony second-degree sexual abuse with a teenage boy and girl in the same week. Instead of the following the sentencing guidelines, the judge instead, gave the Antifa leader, Micah Isaiah Rhodes a slap on the wrist.
Apparently, masked domestic terrorists are held to a different standard than maskless Americans in Oregon.

Portland, Oregon - A leader of Portland's anti-Trump resistance movement, Micah Rhodes, age 23, has been charged with four counts of second-degree sex abuse.

According to KGW Portland, Rhodes had a first appearance in court on Monday morning, January 30, 2017. His charges are for statutory, non-forced rape. He is a self-proclaimed leader of Portland's Resistance, which is a group that led violent and disorderly anti-Trump protests.

An affidavit for the current charges refers to Rhodes having sex with a teenage boy but does not give the victim's name. These charges result from allegations that occurred after Rhodes was arrested on January 25, 2017, during a protest in downtown Portland for unrelated charges.

Police interviewed Rhodes on January 25 and also on January 28, 2017. He waived his Miranda rights both times. During the January 25 interview, Rhodes admitted to police that he had had sex with an underage male and an underage female. He also said that he did not know how old either victim was at the time but later admitted in the January 28 interview that he "probably knew the victims were 17 when he engaged in sexual acts with them."

Rhodes admitted meeting the male victim through Grindr, and also acknowledged that the victim told him he was 17 years old. Rhodes said that he does not remember if he had sex with the victim in Gresham but said that he might have had sex there and that they did have sex in Troutdale. Also in the affidavit, the Oregon Youth Authority said that in 2015 Rhodes had told them that he sex with the male victim, and that he was on probation at the time for First-Degree Sex Abuse and First-Degree Sodomy.

According to KOIN 6, the Oregon State Police confirmed on Monday, January 30, 2017, that Rhodes was a registered sex offender. The OSP said that Rhodes' name does not appear on the state sex offender registry because he was not considered "predatory" and because his conviction was as a juvenile. Details of those convictions are not available because juvenile cases are confidential.

In a statement, Portland Police said that they are looking for additional victims and that the investigation is ongoing. Sgt. Pete Simpson has asked for anyone that is a victim or has information to please come forward. Rhodes is a well-known activist, and has led several protests, including one that included dozens of high school students. He is also a former member of Don't Shoot PDX, a movement sanctioned by Black Lives Matter. On Monday, January 31, 2017, that group denounced Rhodes and said that he has not had a formal leadership role in the group since November, 2016.

It's interesting to know Rhodes' previous criminal history and current charges, as well as the fact that he was a registered sex offender in light of the fact that he has been working with high school students. It is also interesting to note that he was part of a Black Lives Matter-sanctioned group. Registered sex offenders leading violent protests against President Trump. I guess it's the new political correctness in America.

Do you think that Black Lives Matter will support Micah Rhodes as he's charged for having sex with juveniles? We'd like to hear from you. Please let us know your thoughts on our Facebook page or in the comments below.

Portland protest leader Micah Rhodes gave up his legal fight Tuesday by pleading guilty to a second round of sexual abuse charges against him, this time for having sexual contact multiple times with a 17-year-old boy.

(#1)The victim couldn’t consent to the contact because he was a minor. Rhodes -- then 20 or 21 -- was more than three years older than the teenager at the time of the 2014 or 2015 encounters. He met the boy on a gay dating app.

Oregon law says it’s a crime for an adult to have sexual contact with a minor if there’s three or more years in age difference between the two.

Age of consent laws vary from state to state, with most states allowing 16- or 17- year-olds to have sexual contact with adults. Oregon is one of about a dozen states that sets the age of consent at 18. Washington state sets the age at 16.

Rhodes, now 24, was a leader of the protest group Portland’s Resistance, which rose to prominence after Donald Trump won the presidential election in November 2016 and the group helped organize day after day of marches and rallies.

But Rhodes had long been a part of Portland’s activist scene before that and a familiar face at Portland City Council meetings. Among his notable achievements was helping stage a camp-out in front of then-Mayor Charlie Hales’ home in 2016.

He declined to comment after the sentencing on the advice of his attorney. He said he plans to comment after his sentencing in the case.

(#2)That’s scheduled for June, about two weeks after he's sentenced in Washington County for one count of second-degree sexual abuse of a 17-year-old girl in 2014.

A Washington County jury found Rhodes guilty 10-2 on Friday. Rhodes said he was about three years older than the girl in that case.

State sentencing guidelines recommend a prison sentence of about two to two-and-a-half years in prison.

It’s unclear how much time Rhodes faces in the Multnomah County case.

(#3)The Oregon Youth Authority began supervising Rhodes when he was 14, for sexual abuse and sodomy, authorities said. According to court records, Rhodes was 13 or 14 years old in 2007 when he sexually abused a boy who was 9 or 10 years old.

Washington County Deputy District Attorney Andy Pulver argued in court papers that Rhodes has a "sexual predisposition toward minor children."

Rhodes had been required to register as a sex offender at the time he was charged in the Multnomah and Washington county cases.

At first i was like damn homie got caught with a 17yr old when he was 20/21...eeeh, I didn't and wouldn't have done it, but I've seen worse things to get outraged over.

Then I kept reading......
And reading....

I'm not trying to excuse any of his actions,

But got damn he was damaged and repeatedly "tampered with" as a child!!

Child victims have a high rate of becoming adult predators....

That does not absolve him of any of the fuckity fuck shit he did... But got damn... This is just sad

8. “Mr. Rhodes as a young child was essentially forced into the sex trade,” he said. “This is a person who was repeatedly raped and repeatedly brutalized as a child.”

You are extraordinarily dishonest dude. If I'm being honest you strike me as being really stupid as well.

Fuck all pedos, including this guy too if he is one. That's not your concern here though. You're engaged in a number of really absurd logical fallacies.

Worst of all you keep projecting all your faults onto others. Case in point: accusing anyone of being gullible while presenting Antifa as some bogeyman black folks need to concern themselves with while downplaying the threat of radical white supremacist domestic terrorism in the US.

Being frank I don't like engaging with you sincerely because like I said, you strike me as a remedial, dishonest and un-intelligent poster but I'll set this aside for one exchange.

I want you to bring all your intellectual powers to bear here ( remember that making a thousand bullet points and numbering your posts does nothing to conceal the lack of substance). Explain succinctly and clearly why Antifa is a huge threat to black people relative to the white supremacist/domestic terror threat we face (as Americans broadly and as black people specifically).

Extra points for being able to distill your ideas into a few well sourced paragraphs.
