Yeah man. If you're in a hospital and interact with patients in NYC you have to wear a mask or take the influenza shot. I'm like fuck that shit I wanted to wear a mask anyway. You're not injecting me with that shit. Man fuck that shit there would be hell and powder house if I came in and they told the mask shipment didn't arrive that day. They would have to put me on the clock from the moment I got there and left to go get masks until my shift ended. It could be a situation if management acts up.

I reluctantly agreed to getting the shot this year. I haven't had one in 14 years. I have the sniffles right now but I work close around others so I get I'll have a little protection.

Same here. Every fucking yr I got that shot I would get sick as a fucking dog but when i stop taking it I was fine
if you're young, with no complicating health issues and no work need (working in docs office/hospital etc) you probably have no need to. I'm healthy but had some lung problems 10 years ago that made my lung capacity less than optimal, so my doc wants me to get one every year just to lessen the chances of having to deal with any breathing issues catching it may cause (of course the strains the shot works on may not be the strain I get, so it's just hedging I guess).
Flu shot doesn't fuck me up at all, not even pain at the injection site. The pneumonia shot however, fucks me up for a couple/few days... makes me sick and makes my arm sore as fuck. thankfully that one is only once every five years, and I'm gonna say fuck no to it in 3 more years when I'm due. I'll take my low chances of catching pneumonia (never had it before or after I got the shot), but I'm guaranteed to feel like complete shit after getting it, so fuck it.

It's worth getting... I have been getting one every year for the past 10 years.
The stats have proven that the flu shot has reduced the risk of death and serious illness amongst vulnerable people since it has been introduced.
Like all medicines / vaccinations it's not perfect. People get reactions from taking aspirin and all other basic medications but the fact is majority of them are still safe and effective for most people who use them.
