LeBron to discuss Michael Jordan's coonery on next Shut Up And Dribble episode

Kenny Smith is a former teammate of MJs. And hes from New York. He will always be an apologist for Michael.
It isnt MJ obligation to be Ali?

Well i wanna know who's obligation is it to be Ali? The poor black men?

I mean seriously it should be a felony to be a coon.

Also checkmate by LeBron James.

When you play the over righteous role, or i got morr money role you always can be check mated by a man that never forgot where he came from regardless if he has 40 million dollars or 40 nickles

Ya know you need another rich man to check another rich man. Because it is allways comes off as "you just hating" if some in the middle class says some thing critical about Michael Jordan's coonery. But bout time.

LeBron the GOAT. Even LeBron wasnt the goat i would say he is just because i would rather kids look up to lebron than to jordan

“Over the past three decades I have seen up close the dedication of the law enforcement officers who protect me and my family. I have the greatest respect for their sacrifice and service. I also recognize that for many people of color their experiences with law enforcement have been different than mine. I have decided to speak out in the hope that we can come together as Americans, and through peaceful dialogue and education, achieve constructive change.

“To support that effort, I am making contributions of $1 million each to two organizations, the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s newly established Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The Institute for Community-Police Relations’ policy and oversight work is focused on building trust and promoting best practices in community policing. My donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the nation’s oldest civil rights law organization, will support its ongoing work in support of reforms that will build trust and respect between communities and law enforcement. Although I know these contributions alone are not enough to solve the problem, I hope the resources will help both organizations make a positive difference.

“We are privileged to live in the world’s greatest country – a country that has provided my family and me the greatest of opportunities. The problems we face didn’t happen overnight and they won’t be solved tomorrow, but if we all work together, we can foster greater understanding, positive change and create a more peaceful world for ourselves, our children, our families and our communities.”

The bitch nigga gives money to police unions after they kill us and you and the others on BGOL stay silent. Cuz yall love them funky ass shoes more than you love being black. Now brag to me about his 6 rings he won 20+ years ago.
It is like people think you cant like Jordan's shoes but hate him as a person.

@KingTaharqa is either Chamillionaire or John Starks. I ain't never seen no shit like this.

Can you tell me what Michael's views on Kaepernick are Nightmare Paint? They are both Nike employees.

Can you tell me what Michael's basketball philosophy is Nightmare Paint? Like how he believes a team is supposed to be designed to be successful? And how that correlates to the one he's owned the last 8 years?

I will ignore your personal insult out of respect you've shown in the past (guess me dissing MJ is the dealbreaker) and await your answer.

You consider this an insult? Shit was just jokes bro. I'm a grown ass man. Your personal opinion about Michael Jordan is yours and has no bearing on me whatsoever. Unless you're a Duke fan. Fuck Duke.

I gotta be Chamill or John Starks to see MJ is a clown and a coon?

Nevermind that though, I assume you are a big fan of Michael's. Can you answer those first 2 questions please. And no I dont fuck with Duke.

I honestly didn't know you were that sensitive about the shit man. I figured any 90s basketball head would have found the John Starks reference hilarious.
Well since we are here, I motherfucking love Michael Jordan. I've been a MJ fan since North Carolina. I've also never in my life looked at Michael Jordan as a driver of sociopolitical change. In the 60s and 70s Black celebrities and sports figures were key pieces of the movement. You ain't really have that in the 80s and 90s. It's only been recently that Black athletes have put themselves back into the fray as intensively as they were 40-50+ years ago. To answer your questions, I don't know what Michael Jordan thinks of Kaepernick. You're by all means welcome to find that out of your own volition. Secondly, I have no idea what Michael Jordan's philosophy as a team owner would be other than to run a profitable business as cheaply as possible. I'm just a fan catching a game here and there when I can.

You ain't have to explain all that to him. Dude is obsessed. Majority of his posts are about Jordan, LeBron and dick. Not in that order. Don't believe me, do a search.

Chamill is known for his run in with Jordan and is depicted as extreme. Starks is another figure that got into it with Jordan. I dont think being compared to them while discussing MJ is a good thing although Ill take your word it was just a joke.

I appreciate you being honest that you cant really answer those questions. I find most of MJs fans dont know any intimate details about his views or personality. Yet if you level any criticism his way they get very very sensitive. I have to believe this is solely based on the marketing of his shoe brand, since they dont really know anything about him and he doesnt have social causes he rallies behind.

Most Nike athletes at this point have spoken for or worn Kaps merch publicly EXCEPT Michael. That is inexcusable. And of course most fans give him a pass on that. I dont think people are crazy or extreme to expect more from him on that note.

No one including himself knows what his basketball philosophy is. He's written no books, done no interviews, and had 0 success as an exec to explain it.

Im looking forward to this episode and the discussion that will follow it. Michael and his fans can not only no longer control the narratives of other players, but they cant even control his any more. :smh:

Seriously tho. What other 80s-90s sports icons are being taken to task for their perceived apathy?

To be fair, Jordan has been scrutinized for not speaking out since 1990, which was 1 year before he became a champion and in the midst of his prime. So its nothing new really. Its just society has changed so we expect more from athletes than to just "shut up, dribble, sell hanes underwear". He's still 1 of if not the most heavily marketed athletes in the world, theres a responsibility that comes with that.

In this same statement he also gave money to the NAACP. Not my preference, and also not my money to decide...

but WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? I mean other than gargle LBJ nuts?

You think Lebron's opinion carries any weight? Especially if hes attacking another black man?

You lust for this guy, and it's disturbing and disgusting.

You care more about entertainment than black issues. Jordans coonery and likeness has always appealed to your type. Yall relate.

More coon excuses.

Seeing you guys cape and cry like bitches for MJs coonery, I now understand why a black man would kill another black man for his likeness. It means that much to yall lames.

Jordan hasn't played on the bulls in 2 decades so his presence is irrelevant to me as a bull fan...he won me lots of money back in the days beating the Knicks ass...he was a great player could care less about his off court shit

Grown ass men looking another man to lead them.... and we wonder why blacks are in the condition they are in.

Jordan has always been on that fuc boy shit but the stories are hilarious. Chamillionaire telling his story of his run in with Jordan and Nore as well.

About unarmed black men that get shot by police, I’m not up here saying that all kids are great and all adults are great, because they’re not. But at the same time, all lives do matter. It’s not black or white, it’s not that. It’s everyone.

I’ve seen the shop. It’s HBO no ESPN. And I thought that was a one time thing until the Drake clips popped up

Holy shit I had no idea LeBron had a show on HBO and Showtime. I thought they'd both be airing on one network. I already saw the Shop but just watched Shut Up & Dribble.... it was fantastic, props to King James and his team for real

Nobody wasn't expecting Jordan to be Muhammed Ali but when you're the biggest sports star on the planet you have to take a stand. You really think having a few million dollars going to hurt you and your brand....

All the black community wanted was Jordan to say what happened to Rodney King was disgusting and those officers should be in prison yet he didnt do it.

People want to be on this bullshit like,if you have money you dont have to say shit, while the community suffers....really...What's the point of having millions of dollars, if you dont influence change to help your community...

And,what's even more funny, anyone that made it big help their community but when it comes to us,folks want to be on this bullshit about they dont have to help their community...lol
Because he has money does not mean he has to speak
