X-MEN Dark Phoenix | Official Trailer

Whats weird is that.... This movie is set in the 90s.... Captain Marvel is ALSO set in the 90s

Jessica Chastain's character is said to be of skrull origin..... The primary antagonists in captain marvel are the Skrulls.....

X-Men are going to space in this.... half of Captain Marvel will be in Space.....

These two movies are coming out like a month apart from each other

interesting...probably a forced “coincidence” to get diehards talking and in seats...I hope marvel studios blows this entire shit up and starts from scratch once the title comes to disney

I think Sophie Turner could have done a decent Jean with better material...but the movies she's been in have had shit story lines. This film looks to be another, and hopefully the last, affront to one of the best comics of all time.

It maybe why the flick was pushed into 2018 due to reshoots to tie it into the MCU.

I’m starting to suspect this flick is gonna be better than folks think.

Xmen, Capt Marvel then Avengers 4.

I have to agree with Devils. I don't see Marvel keeping the same actors. At most I can see some generic mention of the existence of mutants.

So many missed opportunities. The MCU is introducing the skull/cree war with Captain Marvel. Y'all do know the Shi'ar do have direct dealings in said war. With a little tinkering the The Dark Pheoenix /Phoenix Force could be introduced without massive disruptions to the continuity. Except for the whole No Mutants hurdle. Damnit sony....Nevermind.

It seems as if your wishes will come true eventually.

First X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer teases the end of the saga as we know it

Big changes are on the horizon for the X-Men franchise.

Fox just released the first trailer for Dark Phoenix, the latest installment in the X-Men series in which the team of mutants must save one of their own, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), who is corrupted after gaining terrifying new powers. It's based on the popular Dark Phoenix Saga, a comic storyline from 1980. The cast from the previous three films returns, with Jessica Chastain also joining as a shapeshifter who serves as a mentor to Jean.

Dark Phoenix has had a bumpy road to the big screen, as it was originally set to release in November 2018 but was pushed back to go through reshoots in response to test screening feedback, per Collider.

This sequel is likely to be the conclusion of this iteration of the X-Men, even if it wasn't originally intended to be. After all, the movie franchise is currently owned by 20th Century Fox, but when the Disney purchase of Fox is finalized, these characters will be incorporated into Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe. At that point, a full reboot, complete with the recasting of every character and a reset in continuity, will almost surely be required.

It remains to be seen how conclusive Dark Phoenix itself is, seeing as it was mostly written and shot before the Disney purchase was announced, but the trailer does open with a telling song lyric: "This is the end."

Dark Phoenix hits theaters on Feb. 14, 2019.

Yeah, at this point who even cares? Fox took some really good actors, decent scripts and good and bad directors and somehow turned the whole thing into a snoozefest. I'll wait for Marvel before I pony up any greenbacks.

No Imperial Guard? No Lilandra? M'Kronn Crystal? Nah man, pass. Fuck them from now on
Right!!!!
No cosmic factors or Lilandra coming into play. No Sinister despite them teasing him in the last movie. They already blew through the Hellfire club.
Why make a Phoenix story if they clearly don't clear about adapting any of the elements that make that character so intriguing.
And they still haven't learnt shit from X-3 because it looks like Jean is still going to become the Phoenix because of .... reasons. :hmm:
Like unlocking the Phoenix force is like going super saiyan for her. If she gets mad enough her power level sky rockets over 9000!
And why the fuck is Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender still in these movies. They clearly don't want to be here anymore. I really hope that funeral scene is for Mystique.

That’s the thing with Marvel.

These characters have over 40 years of history. You can’t do it justice in a 2.5hr movie.

I would rather see TV series that can go more in-depth with the characters and stories.

Lots of people have complained that he MCU villains have been sub-par. It’s not that they have been sub-par, they don’t have time enough to go in-depth with the character.

The Red Skull is a perfect example. That crazy mofo is like the Joker. He barely had any direct interaction with Capt. America.

The same with Dr. Strange. Strange and Dormammu have a long history. The movie did not give Dormammu justice. He was just a big head bouncing around.

I was inclined to say the same at first, but I gotta wait to see how the merger deal plays out. From what I've heard so far, Fox is still gonna be a company making movies, they will just be owned by Disney. This could mean that Fox is still making the X-Men movies, with KF overseeing it just like the situation with Spider Man. In that scenario, its not completely out of the picture to get these same X-Men in the MCU. Now, do I want to see that? Not entirely.

Nah this won't be the case at all....Disney straight up BOUGHT Fox, Kevin Feige is gonna oversee all the franchises. With Spider Man being own by Sony it's a bit more complicated.... this won't be the case with the franchises Fox had.... they own ALL that shit

Looks like trash. Sophie Turner is not a good actress and she can't get her American accent right.

I can't argue with that. I thought the same thing about both villains, especially Red Skull... In hindsight I would have preferred him in civil war.

True, they do own it and it could very well go that way. I would prefer it did. Like I said, I just gotta see what they're gonna do. The one thing I do know is they said Fox will still be putting movies out as Fox. If that doesn't include X-Men movies, you'll hear no complaints from me.

It won't.....They talking Aliens, Avatar, Predator I guess is Fox.....but the Super Hero shit???? That's gonna be absorbed into the MCU.......Just don't be mad if Huge Jackman and Patrick Steward pop up.

like I said, I hope thats the case. I just remember some of the interviews I read where they were saying these movies could still be under Fox. That wouldnt mean they arent in the MCU...case in point...Spider Man. Now, where I agree is that once they own it outright, they can do whatever they want, and that can come out looking all sorts of ways. We could get a Marvel Studios X-Men franchise with all new actors, or a Fox X-Men reboot with all new actors and Marvel's creative team at the helm, or a Fox X-Men film with the same actors with Marvel's team at the helm.....it could go a number of ways. From a business perspective, there are some reasons I could see why they might want to keep those movies under the Fox bannerhead to shore up that company's bottom line on paper. End of the day...I'm not arguing with you....I want the outcome you're describing....I'm just waiting to see how that looks once its all said and done.
