Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Season 3 - On The Run Trailer .... Jack Ryan - The Final Season | Official Trailer | Prime Video JUNE 30th

don't know if its because i'm getting old, but i can't get into anything new. its like i don't even want to watch anything new. i rather watch movies, cooking reality shows and new seasons of old shows if there are any.

for

for real?? lol im in!

Yeah, with a tiny little bit of training day. After finishing it, my one complaint is that they made the Ryan character a little too good (in terms of this ideals). I get it he's supposed to be the young Jack Ryan, but come on dude was like a damn Saint.

This show was pretty solid. It was like watching Bunk from the Wire teaming up with Jim Halpert from the Office doing a season of 24.

You guys finished it already? How many episodes is it?
8 Episodes

Peace,

Can’t take the lead actor seriously. Keep expecting him to turn around and smirk at the camera.
Watching the trailer I thought the same thing....but the show is solid....just finished the first two episodes....also...for anyone that doesn't already know it.... Bosch & Sneaky Pete are winners also....

Sneaky Pete is ok -
Bosch is excellent - 4 seasons all great

y'all should also check out Hand of God, Goliath, Tin Star and Patriot

all are good - Patriot and Tin Star build slow and stories get really dark - only one season each so far
Hand of God and Goliath are 2 seasons deep - stories aren't as dark but get a little complex

spoiler?

1. so the fucking terrorists didn't think that the cell frequencies would be jammed up if the president was in the hospital? the fuck?
2. who killed the dude who blew up the pizzeria? why? is the killer Russian? is it related to next season?
3. next season is set to be set in South America, so why is the end of Season 1 saying it is Moscow/Russia?

Wendell Pierce is my boy - this started with a lot of potential, but this was at times mediocre and at other times stupid - Tom Clancy must be spinning in his grave.
The whole cell phone thing at the end was truly dumb... cell towers being down at the hospital meant that no matter where he eventually went to get a signal on his phone- it wasn't going to be able to call the phone that was still at the hospital

Amazon / Netflix is the perfect place to do dense Clancy stories with deep characters - instead they chose to do paint by numbers sudo counter intel fantasy -
They should have just done Rainbow if they wanted this route - better yet do Rainbow with an eye toward taking the original StrikeBack to the next level

2. who killed the dude who blew up the pizzeria? why? is the killer Russian? is it related to next season?
that's the same black ops guy that told Jack he changes his name in every country - and was training the soldiers for the raid to rescue the hostages

I almost missed that too. But the the bomb maker that got whacked at the end...says when they first activate the bomb that it was hardwired into the phone system.

If anything, they could have called from a hardline, but I guess cell phones would have been harder to trace.

in many ways - that just makes the plan even dumber....
that means they never had real control of the trigger - and could easily have died from early detonation
and as soon as the secret service started evacuations the hospital's DID lines and outgoing circuits would have been shut down

For what it is worth, the storyline only mentioned the Secret service killing cell phone service and not the hard lines in the hospital. It was specifically mentioned that cellphones service was killed to prevent any remote activations. to your other point, dude took the bomb trigger cellphone and hardwired it into the system. It seemed like you still have to know the actual cell phone number to activate it.

What you said is what probably what would happen in real life. But at least the script seem to justify how it happened on the show.

Good looking out on Goliath….. saw the description when looking through their shit, but never gave it a chance..... barely made it through the first two episodes of season one Saturday …it was dragging like hell...….then when ole girl got smashed by that van at the end of episode two...it caught my interest and got on my radar........... just finished season one...it was good......started season two today..... is Lou Diamond Phillips kind of washed up or something ? his role so far seems ….. lame...as with a lot of his recent shit.

gonna check out the others you mentioned

switching doesn't work like that - he would have to use the local line and the cell would only function as a terminal - problem - hardlines are analog

hospitals have extremely few hardlines and they all still go through the switch
IRL if the Secret Service was setup in a hospital for days with POTUS & vice & speaker - with a threat like that - they are shutting down all forms of external communication
