Sometimes they'll skip a week for a holiday, or a political event, or a sporting event, or a competitor is having a big episode or some shit that'll hurt their ratings. Or they do it to stretch the season out so maybe they can have two episodes in September instead of one, shit like that.

EVERYTHING WRONG WITH LAST WEEK'S EPISODE
1) What was Dre's plan to take out Jason? If the housekeeper wasn't there, was he just gonna knock w/ an assault weapon in his hand? Dude is too well protected for that.
2) If the plan was to kill the Jaminez dude after opening the door, what difference did it make if it was Ghost or Kanan? There was no time to react.
3) How is John Mak gon look getting a recommendation letter from Angela, when he's investigating her? At a minimum, that proposal would have gotten her on admin leave, b/c there's no way any atty in their right mind would consider that offer.
4) Tariq's still alive. No errors there. Just need to see him deceased.
5) Are we supposed to believe Tommy's naive enough to think his Italian fam is gonna openly welcome his new girlfriend Keisha? That shit's gonna be epic when she walks into their racist ass crib to eat dinner. She'll be there 2 mins at best.

I couldn’t discern any rhyme or reason for the move but I realize if they didn’t do it the season finale would’ve been on labor day weekend...skipping labor day weekend would’ve still made sense but I guess they didn’t want that gap right before the last ep
