"Skills" don't mean shit in the music industry and even less so in hip-hip. Its not jazz, where being a proficient musician is a huge part of the ability to maintain the attention of the target audience. Hip-hop constantly changes and what's "in" constantly changes.
I read someone calling Drake a "fake" pop star but that's not true. He IS a pop star. If Pusha T comes to my city, he's playing in a club. If Drake comes, he's playing the arenas. Pop stars play arenas. There are so many incomes tied into being a pop star that no single artist can wreck their career, period. These white folks are not gonna cancel contracts based on some hood shit. You must be out of your minds to think that shit.
