Following the announcement that NBA phenom LeBron James signed a $154 million/4-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, WNBA rookie A’ja Wilson took to Twitter on Sunday (July 1), to advocate for better pay for women in professional sports.
Wilson tweeted, “154M ……….. must. be. Nice. We over here looking for a M but Lord, let me get back in my lane.” The message was accompanied by a GIF of a woman closing a door and walking away.

NBA probably 75 years old. 2017 WBNA finals delivered an all-time high of 900,000 viewers. The 2016 NBA finals averaged 18 MILLION viewers.

Exactly, they did an interview with Adam Silver and he stated that they actually have a hard time getting women to watch the wnba. By the NBA's on market research, most of the wnba fans are older white guys who like old school "fundamental" basketball.
Until women actually support the WNBA, as well as additional people, there simply isn't enough money coming in to give the owners the ability to hand out multi millions of dollar contracts to players.

I respect their talent, and I think it's great they have leagues and all, but she's just being stupid. Firstly, lots of people actually want to watch NBA players, so they come to the arenas and more importantly watch the games on tv.... and the league gets huge tv contracts. WNBA doesn't... case closed. If the WNBA season was canceled, but 9.5 out of 10 basketball fans wouldn't even notice. It's a sad truth.
