paypal is a bitch.

as a seller, they will fuck you over each and every time and will continue to do so as long as they know they can get away with it if you do nothing to fight back. to them no matter what the customer is always right.

but there's a way to fuck them as well if they don't play fairly. these tips will help u if u are a seller. i recommend you doing so if you have to use them. unfortunately they are a very necessary evil....

1. record all calls. even if you cant use it in court the fact you have it on record that they fucking lie or pull their shit goes far. the youtube video i posted shows you how that is beneficial.

2. do not attach them to your actual bank accounts, so they can just randomly go in and pull money they have no business pulling from it. Use a prepaid account/credit card for your paypal accounts. i use a netspend account/prepaid debit card for each paypal account i have. so when they get that urge to pull money they have no business taking, there's nothing there.

3. customers are shady as fuck and know paypal will side with them. make sure you always have your tracking numbers, signatures, whatever is needed to throw in their face when the time comes

4. pay attention to detail. this video highlights how a customer tried to get away with a free 1900.00 computer and almost did if i hadn't pointed out the 22lb weight difference between what was shipped to him and what i got back.

in this video i had a customer buy a computer, claimed the card was damaged. we had him ship it back and we shipped out another one. 2 business days later the customer told paypal he got a damaged computer. paypal decided in his favor to offer a refund within 24 hours of filing. i stopped the shipping company from completing the shipment of the replacement card and told paypal to have them return the computer to us.

week later paypal gave him the refund stating he returned the computer, using the tracking he used to return the card.....

Good look!

First off, you're talking to idiots in India lol. PayPal are obviously crooks. Reporting them to the CFPB used to work but it doesn't work anymore these days. You kind of screwed up by not using signature confirmation or ADULT signature needed. You think PayPal is bad then don't ever deal with Amazon in your life. Amazon would have ruled against you EVERY TIME and you would have been out of your $2000.

what are u talking about? i always use signature confirmation. at any time a person can claim they never got it so i'd never not do it.

and amazon is worse. i traveled to go collect shit i sold on amazon that people pulled stunts on in the past.

I get that but for an item that price, i'd put direct signature required via Fedex. That way, the driver gets the name of the person who received the package. That will you some time and aggravation with PayPal. And yup, Amazon is a nightmare...

Paypal has always sucked, but they know they don't care because you don't have any real choices especially if you want to sell on Ebay.

Amazon? forget it, I remember my rating was 100% and i had 1 or 2 customer complaints out of the hundreds i shipped on time, and they suspended my account because it feel above 2% Satisfaction.

you can use a standard credit card merchant account on ebay. you don't have to use paypal.

i think you were misunderstanding what was happening. it wasn't me that didn't ship something without a signature, it was the buyer running the scam that shipped something without a signature

Well, i think i heard the lady you were speaking with say that the purchase was initially refunded because you request signature upon delivery. nevertheless, the customer is a jackass.

Yeah but the startup cost is way expensive and you have to setup a corporation. Just a lot more paperwork

PayPal is way more easier but again they have you by the balls. If setup up a merchant account was very easy. PayPal would not be so bad because they would have competition

no you don't and the startup cost is free depending on who you use.

yeah they wanted the customer to use it not me. the customer was returning something and because it was valued over 850.00, they require the customer to have a signature needed in delivery.

I caught a perma van after 15 years. Still have 1.8k stuck in there system luckily I had used the workin capital to grab over 30k.

Sadly enough I was an early adopter when people hated it, now it’s so customer friendly it’s criminal.

Btw the mofo who set my shit off is Carrie Stodumire...... Yes Amare moms! A customer and did some foul shit.

Im using my girls paypal in the time being but looking at using authorize.net

Im good now, was finally able to jump to through the hoops and now have Authorize.net and its pretty solid for my industry, I use Square at my store, its dope because it does all the customer management features, including payroll etc....

Stripe is who Shopify use and they roped me up so cant rock with them.

BTW my Amazon is starting to pop. Do you sell on there? What kind of volume?

i have 2 people that sell for me on amazon, it's not bad total about 18k in sales. i cap it at 20k in case amazon wants to be a bitch again and hold funds for periods of time.

Do they have a working Capital program like Paypal? 18k cap meaning what?

no they don't.

i place a cap at 20k selling on amazon meaning i won't sell past 20k gross. amazon has a habit of wanting to hold your money for months at a time. you probably won't experience it but because i sell what's considered a high risk product, they do it from time to time and i can't have them holding up too much money. plus even though they are a necessary evil, i'm not one really down with waiting for my money after the fact where every other means of sale = i get my money up front.

True.

I asked because looks like they have a program to Paypal Working Capital. I did through Paypal win 2 years I've pretty much funded my retirement, plan on doing the same with Amazon.

Thing about my business is its actually EXTREMELY high risk because its a body product. So every fragrance I list in FBA has an MSDS sheet. They are holding lot of money but its finally catching up and should have my first decent payout. Im new on Amazon but this joint can make you rich if you know how to freak it.

yeah... but i don't have the patience to wait on money for products delivered 3-6 months ago. i avg 80-100k gross on ebay, 15-30k on bonanza and 80-150k on my site without having to wait for it.

I only use paypal as a buyer so i love it for all the reasons mentioned as it relates to how they treat the customer in the deal.

I think its fucked up for people to fuck over individuals.... corporations i dnt have a problem with.

i forgot to add this. after this call the case was supposed to be closed, but a few weeks later i got yet another notification saying the reversal was reversed back into the customers favor. got back on the phone with paypal and i found the big secret a lot of people don't know...

if you appeal and they decide in your favor, they will automatically reverse it if they already refunded the customer. NO MATTER WHAT. paypal had to take a loss that day and gave me back my money on top of giving it back to the customer.
