Some bullshit decision...

Yet another example of Liberty changing shit, that no one had an issue with. Podium interviews were actually interesting. This is what happens when people buy shit, with zero knowledge of its culture.
Yeah, that's the just an odd thing to cut out. What's the benefit?

Money i would think, just in recent years those interviews were done by either celebrities when NBC hosted F1 or former F1 drivers. Do you think they did them for free we talking about a payout to the interviewers, their agents and sponsors etc. Between Sky Sports and Mothers Polish or ESPN somebody may not feel it's a financial benefit.

Watching it again and that Red Bull DNF do you think Red Bull with drop Verstappen next season because he has too many of these types of racing incidents. He definitely did a double move causing Ricciardo to rear end him. I know reading the article on the F1 page they both had taken blame for it, but behind the scenes do you think Red Bull is going to clean house?

Just got finished watching the replay and the post-race interviews being conducted before the trophy presentation was awkward, cutting out celebs or former drivers to save money is understandable but I still feel that David Coulthard or some other Sky Sports personality or Will Buxton can conduct the post race interviews after the drivers spray the champagne. I was assuming conducting the post-race interviews before the trophy presentation was done save time for ESPN's benefit but the race ran it self ran about 1 hour and 45 minutes and ESPN carried 2 hours and 28 minutes of Sky's feed, the race started at 7:10 am Central time. ESPN had no breaking news or programing to disrupt the feed at that hour.

Time is money, and there was a half hour dedicated pre race show in the pits with commentary when F1 was on NBC Sports.

If Liberty and ESPNs main motivating factors was cost cutting/saving when buying F1/their television right it goes along with what I said. They didn't know shit about F1 or its fanbase.

My issues haven't been change per-say. It's the level of change with little to no actual benefit to the sport as a whole. Changing the logo??? Getting rid of grid girls??? Axing the podium celebration and interview??? Why??? It doesn't improve the action on track, doesn't give fans what we really want, nor do they seem remotely interested it. Just speaks to a general disrespect for the sport, it's history/culture and it's fans.

They're trying real hard to take the heat off Mad Max. First the stewards give both he and Ricky a reprimand, now the washing of unwritten rules??? Naaaa man. Not only was he guilty of double moves, he was also guity of moving under braking/in the braking zone. It was so bad, that he wasn't even going for or to maintain a proper racing line!!!

Mercedes 1-2 pole, Vettel 3rd..Ferrari tried something new with adding mirrors to the halo with authorization from the FIA it's may have backfired.

Another win by 44, and great Silver Arrow strategy by not pitting Bottas to finish 2nd. Is it too early to declare him the 2018 F1 Drivers Champion?

Driver numbers on podium are in multiples of 11...

1
L. Hamilton
Mercedes·#44

2
V. Bottas
Mercedes·#77

3
M. Verstappen
Red Bull·#33
